12.01.2022 Scars I often treat scars in clinic. We call it Scar Bridging. I've treated Cesar scars,open heart surgery scars, cosmetic surgery scars, hand surgery, keyhole surgery and sometimes self harming scars. When I touched the emergency Cesar scar of an 80 yr old woman she winced and saidI hate what that doctor did to me. I still can't touch or look at that scar without feeling angry. Another client had a deep scar in her abdomen that was still numb 10 yrs on. Working on that sca...r helped her stand up straighter. The deep wounds of self harming can cause issues with range of movement in the wrists as well as generalised itching, burning and pinching. I treated a 10 yr old girl that had surgical plates put in her wrist after a bad break in Gymnastics. She was so happy to have feeling back in her hands with the scar bridging. All of them have an element of trauma associated. 07.01.2022 Intuitive Acupuncture Facial: so I’d been a beauty therapist years ago and done cosmetic acupuncture as well but my favourite type of treatment to do is this. Just intuitive. Going with the flow on the day with what feels good. So today a really deep facial, neck and scalp massage. Cupping on the back. Slide cupping on the face, Gua Sha on the scalp and a clay mask and tiger warmer over the ears to finish. I focused the body Acupuncture on the stomach Qi line as it goes right... into the face. The stomach is the root of all post natal Qi so it’s important to look after it. So many emotions are stored in the face. Sometimes it needs a bit of a defrag.
