22.01.2022 Performer announcement #3: So.....ummmm.... we asked this performer to send us a blurb about what to expect for her brand new debut performance onstage around 2.30pm at the Burlesque Bazaar this Sunday 27 January and she sent me the below photo....... So yeah... uh.... please don't bring your kids in at 2.30pm ok LOL. We are excited yet scared! to see what the phenomenal Possum Galore brings to the stage this Sunday.

Whilst we can’t have a market this year we encourage people to please stay safe and support your local small businesses with their online sales. 19.01.2022 Yo Canberra! The Burlesque Bazaar is this Sunday 27 January! Online ticket sales close this Saturday night and pre purchased ticket holders receive a show bag upon entry which contains information on a stack of upcoming events, free raffle tickets, discounts to some of the stall holders wares, special treats and some other surprises as well. There will also be a few second hand stalls selling a range of excellent condition clothing, accessories and knick knacks. Parking is a...vailable on the day over the road outside the medical centre, and out the front of office works and next door behind Bing Lee. The Basement's address is 2 Cohen Street Belconnen for those needing navigation. (Look for the yellow ice cream van out the front!) There is also an ATM conveniently located inside The Basement, and don’t forget their kitchen Chompy’s at The Basement is open during the Burlesque Bazaar selling an amazing range of delicious fresh boutique styled pub food. See you this Sunday! Doors open strictly at 11am.

19.01.2022 Performer Announcement: Sweet Belladonna is your perfect poison bringing you hallucinations of the sweetest dreams or something from your darkest nightmares. Performing burlesque for 7 years starring in many productions from Miss Kitkas House of Burlesque as well as winning the title of Kitten of the year in 2018, she is a multi talented bombshell who is a songstress as well as temptress.... Today you will be lucky enough to see Sweet Belladonna on stage today around 12noon and agin at 1.30pm

19.01.2022 Stall Holder announcement #14: Burlesque Bazaar Co-Producer and Stall Manager Rusty Blaze will have a stall selling her handmade pasties and tassels this Sunday 27 January. A regular stall holder at Canberra burlesque shows for the past 10 years, Rusty also takes custom orders for unique personal designs. Rusty’s Mum (aka Mumma Blaze) will also be located beside her selling completed and framed diamond art pictures, and a table of books, cds, trinkets and some second hand c...lothing as well. 17.01.2022 Stall Holder announcement #11: We are very happy to announce that joining us for the first time at the Burlesque Bazaar on Sunday 27 January is HerbnHoney; and Kokedama by Chi. These lovely ladies will be sharing a stall and selling natural 100% filtered raw honey and honeycomb from their Yass hives, and herbs and plants for purchase all wrapped up as gorgeous Kokedama balls!... HerbnHoney will also be selling wax cotton wraps these replace plastic wrap for room temperature or cold foods and are reusable many times. They are perfect for cheese and sandwhich lunch wraps. Due to the extreme summer weather, bushfires and smoke impacting Canberra and our surrounding communities, the Burlesque Bazaar event being planned for the 8/9 February is being postponed. We apologise to people who have contacted and haven’t heard from us in a timely matter. We hope we can bring you another event in May. Be safe.

They are all the rage at the moment in garden design and we are stoked to have Jenna from Charny Succs at the Burlesque Bazaar next Sunday 27 January. Jenna and her hubby Stephen are known all over the Canberra market community and sell at a super affordable price teeny baby succulents in small cup containers and bare root plants for you to plant as you please and will be offering a range of stock in different sizes. ... As the name suggests, plants are propagated and grown right here in Charnwood, so they are perfect for the Canberra garden and climate. They also offer a range of cacti, and other indoor and outdoor plants. (OMG wait until you see their Red Hot Pokers!) Their range is always evolving and changing as things grow, so every stall they host is different. Full of knowledge about raising succulents, say g’day and have a chat about how to get the best for your succs and we expect their stock to sell out quickly at the Bazaar, so make sure you bring a flat box or tray to put your purchases in on the day! We are currently seeking stall holders who sell anything retro, pin up, vintage styled, alternative and burlesque themed items from clothing and accessories right through to homewares. Small businesses very welcome! There will also be a few stalls reserved for second hand stalls from performers offering costuming, clothing and shoes and accessories at garage sale prices. 06.01.2022 Stall Holder announcement #16: THE ICECREAM VAN! YAY! Who doesn’t love ice-cream on these hot summer Canberra days!... Rhonda from The Chameleon Icecreamery will be parking her van out the front of The Basement this Sunday 27 January selling super yummy sweet cold treats to stall holders and patrons attending the Burlesque Bazaar. Using fresh ingredients that also include home-grown fruits, she specialises in creating boutique cream and sorbet flavours, thick shakes and slushies. Ice cream flavours include: Liquorice, Cherry, Rose Petal, Banana Soymilk and classics like Vanilla and Chocolate. Sorbet flavours include: Watermelon, Mandarin and Tamarillo. 01.01.2022 Stall Holder announcement #10: We welcome Henna By Ayesha for the first time to the Burlesque Bazaar on Sunday 27 January. Ayesha will have a stall selling some hand painted henna inspired giftware products such as candles, charger plates and photo frames, as well as offering you the opportunity to purchase and have applied Henna Tattooing on your hands/forearms as well. The henna ink is made from natural organic ingredients that include henna, essential oil, sugar and wa...ter. It’s even safe to apply to children and pregnant women!
