There are four South Burnett boys playing as part of the Wide Bay side which kicked off at 9.30am at Lyle Vidler Oval at Kingaroy.... The U13 Boys Wide Bay team are playing against Brisbane North as part of the Queensland State Challenge competition. This game features some of the best young cricketers in Queensland and the South Burnett community has the opportunity to watch them in action!

06.01.2022 SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a warning for damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding for the South Burnett. Thunderstorms are moving towards the northeast. The storm has just hit Nanango with 20mm in 5 minutes recorded in some areas. ... The storm is expected to reach the area north of Nanango and the area between Nanango and Goomeri by 6:05 pm. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should: * Move your car under cover or away from trees. * Secure loose outdoor items. * Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters.
