23.01.2022 Comedy Night Take 2 Friday 7th August 8pm - Town Hall The entire team at the Burnie Arts & Function Centre are excited to be able to reopen the venue for some new performances. Comedy Night Take 2 on Friday August 7th. The show will begin at 8pm, however doors and bar will be open from 7.15pm allowing plenty of time for patrons to enter the building. ... Join Ned Townsend and six of Tassies best local comedians for a great night of stand-up comedy, grab a couple of friends and join us for a night of laughs. Tickets are sold in tables of 4, to book your table of 4 please call the box office on 6430 5850, or call in and see us. Payment of $50.00 is to be made at time of booking.There will be no door sales, and cashless payment at the bar is preferred. Due to Covid19 restrictions, there are some conditions attached to table purchases that are a requirement of entry to this event. It is considered that by purchasing a table of 4, you are agreeing to all conditions, on behalf of all persons at your table. 17.01.2022 The Burnie City Council have decided to close its three arts facilities, the Burnie Arts & Function Centre, Burnie Regional Art Gallery and the Burnie Regional Museum, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 17.01.2022 Comedy Night Take 2 Friday 7th August | 8.00pm | Town Hall Meet our Comedians:... Chloe began her stand-up career in Adelaide (at the famed Rhino Room) over 18 years ago. She was a Raw Comedy National Finalist in 2001 although she may have performed back then under another name. She has performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. She is a broadcaster on Edge Radio in Hobart as co-host of Film Central. Coming out 4 years ago to friends and family has freed her up to not only find her true self but also has given her stand up a unique point of view and a voice with which to tell it. She has recently performed her award winning show Transistor Sister at the Hobart Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival as well as touring Comedy rooms in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. Ben Richardson is an Auslan (Australian sign language) interpreter, just like those people you see on the telly next to Peter Gutwein. Except not like exactly like those interpreters, hes not as good, thats why they dont let him sign on the telly. Ben does jokes about Auslan, which on the other hand are exceptional. his interpreting mistakes and growing up with a deaf mum who is quietly proud of him, from his debut stand up show The Boy From Auslan Your eyes wont believe what theyre hearing. Kerri Gay began comedy with a 5-minute set in 2014 when she became Tasmanias State finalist for Triple J RAW Comedy, getting the chance to perform at the Melbourne town hall main stage during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Since then she has written and performed in two award winning festival shows. Living with Sybil which saw her win Best Storytelling/Spoken Word and her most recent show Man V Dog, a collaboration with Gabrielle Adkins, which won Best Ensemble in Hobarts Fringe at the Edge of the World Gavin Baskerville began his comedy career in Perth, Western Australia in 1999. Gavin has written, produced and performed in ten Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, has appeared on Network Tens 7PM Project and The Comedy Channels Stand-Up Australia, has performed around Australia and overseas.
