20.01.2022 For now, we have suspended all meetings of the Club, to help flatten the curve. Please get in touch if you know of anyone in our community who is struggling and we will try to help. Afterall, Lions don't stop being Lions, just because we don't have meetings

13.01.2022 We might not be able to do any of our normal projects at the moment, but our Lions are busy helping get wonderful produce out to community members in need

13.01.2022 Wanted! Word Nerd Like taking notes ? Got a computer ? Can send an email ? ? Maybe your are unemployed and need to get some experience for future work? Lions can help with making connections in the Community.... Maybe you are retired and bored? We can fix that! Maybe you have some mobility and/or transport difficulties? We are here to help! Maybe you want to do something for your community but don't enjoy being with strangers? We are a friendly bunch who won't expect you to do anything you are not comfortable with! We can fix all these things :) We would love to talk with you about being a member of our Club. We understand the limitations of life but we don't want you to miss out on this awesome opportunity to make new friends and do great things for our community. We desperately need someone who likes taking and producing minutes (once a month) and would maybe even like to take on the challenge of producing a Club Newsletter and maybe even a Publicity Officer role. We know you're out there but we need YOU to let us know you exist. Send us a message or give us a call, we'd love to chat to you :)

12.01.2022 You might not be able to help, but maybe you know someone who can?

09.01.2022 Looking forward to catering at our first wood chopping event tomorrow. Call in and check out the action. We will have delicious burgers with onions coleslaw, even an egg if you want, sausages and savs, salad rolls and sandwiches and Devonshire Tea in the afternoon!

08.01.2022 Did you know that 100% of funds raised by Lions Clubs from the public is donated straight back to the public! This is something we are most proud of, no administration fees come out of those funds.

06.01.2022 Now that restrictions are easing, some of the volunteers that have been so kindly helping and supporting us, are now returning to some of their previous routine...s/work. We have been very grateful for that assistance, when everything was so overwhelming and busy (and surreal!). Things are still quite busy for us, with deliveries of 150+ emergency food relief hampers over the three days that we operate and so, we would love a little more help, please? - We have one or two delivery runs for Tuesday (both for the Burnie area), collected at 11/11.30AM and - two delivery runs on Saturday, one for Burnie and one for Wynyard, collected at 11/11.30AM. - we collect donated bread (almost every day), eggs (Friday) and potatoes (Sunday or Monday). - Saturday gardeners (we are at the farm 8.30 to 1.30, but doesn't have to be for the whole block of time). - helping with the packing of food hampers on Tues (8.30 to 11.30, or somewhere in between :) ) If you could help with any of these tasks, we would be forever grateful <3
