25.01.2022 Winter is especially tough for those who have less access to warm shelter, so we need your help to Rug Up Tassie for the ABC Winter Knitting Appeal. Were calli...ng out for Tassie to get behind the appeal and knit 5000 wool squares which will be turned into blankets, between now and 26 July. The 20cm squares are easy to knit so anyone can get involved, whether you are a knitting pro or have never tried before. Assistance includes: food, transport; chemist vouch...ers; part-payment of utility bills; clothing; and budgeting support. Emergency relief providers also link people to other services, to help address the reasons for a financial crisis. Emergency Relief organisations provide services directly to regional communities. It is not necessary to travel into Burnie or Devonport for support. Please find a list of local organisations that are here for us and ready to provide advice and assistance.
