13.01.2022 Thanks to #SurvivorsRUs, #cardiffnsw here are some things I've been doing this far My thinking around food is to minimise waste as much as possible. Yesterday ...I top and tailed #snowpeas and removed any outer leaves that were discoloured or bruised etc of the #brusselsprouts before blanching in hot salted water. These scraps are going to be recycled through my garden eventually after my #chickens will have a feed. brussel sprouts left whole will take about 4-5 mins to cook til andante. It's important to remember to run under cold water or into am ice bath to stop cooking then drop dry then freeze in an airtight container. These will be a nice addition to a stir-fry, oven baked or soup when I'm running low on greens. You will notice I also have an airfyer and juicer so have used them so far to dry #herbs, potatoe crisps and some banana chips. The juicer makes light work of some #manderines and some organes I had pick a few weeks back at #DooralongOrangeFarm More to come soon
