To help us support these causes all you need to do is save all of your bag tags and bottle caps. 02.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEKS As a centre, each room celebrated in their own way, transferring knowledge to the children and other educators. The children in the Toddler 1 room incorporated their NAIDOC week activities by dot painting, using red, yellow and black, and designing their own trees.

02.01.2022 Old McDonald’s Farm animals visited us last week and that was so much fun having fluffy bunny, clucky chicken, soft sheep, and goats, quackery ducks and cuddly pig. Children seemed so delighted to touch them and pat them. Children loved furry cuddles and experiencing the different ways that animals look, eat, move, sound and feel. When children have opportunities to spend time with animals, it’s about much more than just stimulating their senses. When children interact with ...animals, they build the all-important senses of connection, empathy and caring. They feel a sense of responsibility and are curious to find out more about the animal (or even bird, insect or fish). Caring for a creature, respect for life and an awareness of the needs of others as well as giving children an understanding of how their behavior can affect others. Having pets like rabbits and chickens on the school’s premises lifts the children’s spirits, lessens tensions and even improves attendance at school because the children are so keen to interact with the animals.
