24.01.2022 This is an experiment burning on plain Calico. The same process of attaching the material to a backing board like paper is used.
23.01.2022 One of the biggest problems with burning on wood is unpredictable grain. This can often ruin a picture and require a number of tries to get a acceptable result. This is a first attempt at burning on high grade art paper.
23.01.2022 These are two of my experiments burning on paper. The paper is a heavy watercolour paper which is glued and pressed onto a plywood backing. It requires a lot more heat to burn than wood but doesn’t have issues with grain.
