Kim Durante is an EA level 1 Show Horse Coach & a Skill-Specific Trainer/Assessor based in Pimpama, Queensland. She has always had a passion for instructing and nurturing riders from beginners to national champions. As a child, she was a member of Tall Timbers Pony Club in NSW and her inst...ructor and coach was Maureen Walker. "Over time I have won at Royal and National level, classes too numerous to mention including Pony, Galloway, Hack, Rider and Turnout progressing from successful child rider to a senior rider, producer, owner and instructor eventuating in 15 consecutive Royal Champion Hacks at Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Royals". Now retired from the show ring Kim instructs and teaches children and adults of all ages. "It gives me no greater sense of achievement to see the progression and development of my pupils." "My true life passions have always been horses, their wellbeing and teaching riders of all ages. All of my pupils over the years have progressed to win Open Pony, Galloway, Hack, Rider and Turnout at Royal and National level." In 2017, at the Toowoomba Royal Show only, her team of pupils got 3 National wins, a runner-up and a 4th, not to mention multiple Royal Champions including Champion Child’s pony, Champion Small Pony, Champion Hunter Pony and Champion Galloway, Champion and Reserve Champion rider. "I look forward to the passing on some of my knowledge and skills to riders, younger and older now and into the future." Kim believes that the future of our sport belongs to the younger generation. Her method of teaching is so caring and encouraging while ensuring each rider learns to ride to the best of their ability while allowing for them to find their own unique style of riding. Her real success is when you watch the smiling faces of all the young pupils, they are shown by the example set by Kim how to be respectful, how to work hard for what you want, and how to be humble once those goals are achieved. Not only does she devote her time to her own riding school but often devotes her time to riding camps held by various organisations. Kim always goes above and beyond for every one of her clients, she has a true talent in being able to engage, encourage and enthuse all those around her which has always made her an excellent role model. 23.01.2022 Trudy Dougall is EA Level 2 General Coach and coach educator. She has been a secondary teacher for 32 years and holds her TAE (Trainer and Assessor) accreditation and with her daughter Brooke, she runs Team Dougall. Trudy is a passionate coach who is dedicated to helping each rider achieve their goals in a safe supportive teaching environment. Saturday and Sunday we have been lucky enough to secure Trudy Dougall EA Level 2 Coach to replace Rebel. Friday Lessons we are still to confirm. 21.01.2022 Kate Dreverman (Rogers) will join us for Summer School 2021 on Friday 15/1/21! We are excited to have Kate on board! Kate is an EA level 1 coach with a passion for helping riders set and achieve goals from beginners to elite athletes. Since a teenager she has successfully Eventing extensively throughout Australia at all the major 3 Day Events including Adelaide on 3 occasions. ... In addition to coaching and competing, Kate also specialises in retraining of retired racehorses for the recently formed OTT (Off The Track) foundation Transitioning Thoroughbreds Foundation (TTF) which applies a holistic approach to training equines for the next chapter in their career from the basics of desensitisation, ground work, pleasure riding to competition. Kate’s recent major successes include: 2017/2018 consistent wins and places at 2** & 3*** 2018 TEG CCI 4**** 1st 2017 Aquis Triequithon 1st 2018 Aquis Triequithon 2nd 2020 TEG 1st 2020 NEGS 1st 2020 OTT HOTY New Comer Hunter Hack Kate has also been a member of the QLD elite squad and coached the development squad. 13.01.2022 Please be aware when nominating for the clinic that the camping 'deal' only covers Friday and Saturday night. If you would like to stay Thursday night, you will have to contact us and pay an extra fee. This is so that arrangements can be made with Burpengary Equestrian Centre. Emails will be sent to those already affected who have not made arrangements with us already.

12.01.2022 At this stage, Covid 19 Plan in place, we are hoping to go ahead with the 2021 Summer Clinic! We have confirmed Rebel Morrow (pending travel restrictions from NSW) will be attending. Paula Price, one of the best dressage coaches and riders in Qld has also confirmed she will attend! Start getting excited and planning for January 14, 15 and 16 2021!!

07.01.2022 Elizabeth (Lilly) Ballard rounds out our coaches roster for the summer clinic weekend! Elizabeth Ballard (Lilly) is an EA and PCA Educated Level One coach. She has competed to FEI Level Dressage including International Young Rider, and to Mini Prix show jumping. She has been on multiple Qld and Australian Show Jumping and Dressage squads as a young rider, additionally has experience with young horses through to Grand Prix. Elizabeth is also a high school teacher so focuses on using different teaching methods to suit the riders learning style.

03.01.2022 International Eventer and Triple Gold Olympian Matt Ryan has confirmed he will be at Summer School pending COVID19 travel restrictions (from NSW where he got stuck earlier in the year) so we are excited to see the border open for him! It’s getting exciting!

02.01.2022 Trudy Dougall will join us for Summer School 2021! We are so excited to have Trudy take over Rebel’s lessons on Saturday and Sunday at Summer School! I have personally known Trudy for over 30 years (don’t tell anyone how old we are!) and her dedication and ability to train riders, horses and coaches of every level is outstanding! She is a level 2 ea coach and has many years of experience in riding and training over cross country. See the below post re Trudy’s amazing qualifications. Those affected by Rebel being unable to attend Summer Clinic due to Covid Restrictions should receive an email very soon!
