08.01.2022 It is with great pride the RSL (under the additional funding auspices of DVA & the Qld. State Govt.) completed their solar powered lighting project for the cenotaph at Howard. Following a short service to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the end of WW2 this new installation was switched on by Bruce Saunders MP & Sub Branch President Steve Grainger. Information panels and metal soldiers at reverse arms - reminding us to respect the fallen and the freedoms they fought for - compliment the setting. Many thanks to those members of the community who took the time to attend the service and lay wreaths - the Sheean's in particular whose relative Teddy was recently posthumously awarded a VC.
