24.01.2022 Good morning, Queensland! Did the Easter Bunny hop by your place overnight? We hope E.B. knew where to find you, and we hope if you ever need our help, we’ll b...e able to find you too! Knowing your whereabouts is crucial when calling Triple Zero (000). It might seem like a no-brainer, but to be egg-stra safe, ensure the whole household knows your street number, street name and suburb name of your home address. You can also think about descriptions such as nearby streets, shops and landmarks. Stay safe and have a happy Easter

15.01.2022 You may have Queensland’s Large Air Tanker (LAT) Bomber 141 deploy to lend a hand with firefighting efforts on Fraser Island (K'gari) today. The LAT has ma...de three drops in front of the fire as a way to aid ground crews from QFES and QPWS as they work to strengthen containment lines and slow the progress of the blaze. Capable of a cruise speed (loaded) up to 670km/h, this LAT gets from its Bundaberg base to assist crews on scene in less than 20 minutes. See more

01.01.2022 This is the view from Burrum Heads this afternoon of the fires burning on Fraser Island. An illegal campfire causes this on 14th October and it is still burning. Such a tragic waste of our National Park and so unnecessary.
