02.01.2022 Shoulder to shoulder. We will remember them!

02.01.2022 Our shed is making great headway in our upgrades and revamp and are on target to meet our Stage 1 deadline on September 30. Upgrades have been made to our timber workshop with new safety features and the full implementation of appropriate PPE for all members undertaking work on our machinery. Our beautiful new CNC machine now has a home in our shed with integrated AC and vacuum ducting in a dedicated sealed room. We have added creature comforts for our members - an new Expre...sso coffee machine and more tables and chairs. Stage2 will see our Metal Shed get upgrades and modifications and will soon be signed off and legitimate. Some new equipment coming to join the current equipment. If you know anyone that would like to donate metal working equipment to our project, we would love to hear from you - sheet metal folder, hydraulic floor jacks etc would be greatly appreciated. Stage 3 will see a new shed erected to house woodturning on one side and a home for our 2 industrial sewing machines. If you know a retired upholster that would like to join up, he would be welcomed with open arms as some of the men would like to learn basic upholstery skills. If you or anyone you know would like to join likeminded men for a chat and a cuppa or to get involved in shed projects, why not come along and introduce yourself on any Tuesday morning from 8am to around 12 noon. You can expect a warm welcome - age, race or religion is no barrier. We are an inclusive group - just bring along a sense of humour being the only prerequisite!! See more
