25.01.2022 Have you ever been ghosted in business? It happens more often then you think. Ghosting means when someone cuts off all communication without explanation.... Ghosting doesn't just happen in relationships believe me, it's happened to me over the years. But it can certainly happen in business. Don't take it personal. Even if you have been working with a client/business and they cut off communication, it's on them. If you have tried to reach them to no avail. It's on them. Remember, you have done nothing wrong. So next time you have been ghosted by a client. They are not the kind of client you want to have a long term working relationship with anyway. Nurture those clients that respect you and your skillset. Ghosting sucks....... but it weeds out the ghosts to some truly amazing clients that probably will become long life friends.

25.01.2022 Hey everyone A few people have asked me when I'm back to work, I don't officially go back until Monday 1st February 2021. Over January I have been studying and just kicking back and relaxing.... I'm also getting content and material together and learning all about Convertkit, email marketing, Teachable and everything else in between. I would love to know if anyone that is reading this post, if you are interested in learning either... Cold Calling and Business Development and how to apply this learnings and techniques to your business or your someone that wants to become a Virtual Assistant and start their own VA business in 2021. The reason I ask is, I'm on the fence which one to market and launch first. Comment below if either of these are something you might be interested in learning in 2021... If you need me for any work though, February is booked, I can fit some social media stuff in, otherwise taking bookings now for March and that month too, is filling up fast. Cheers

25.01.2022 Have a great weekend everyone. Been another huge week. I've had a few newbie VAs ask about my other business called The Independent VA.... Yes I know, another business, this has always been a side project and one that I had to park 18 months ago, because my mum got very ill and it's only taken to the last few months to get back into it. Next year I'll be launching some free E-Books and paid E-Books. I won't be doing anymore one on one VA mentoring (sorry), I just simply don't have the time, but will have some group mentoring on offer. To be honest I feel the E-Books will give you every possible scenario, strategy and fantastic information and tips to operate a successful VA business. 23.01.2022 One of the best things about working for myself for the last 6 years as a Virtual Assistant is not having to move house because of a job. I remember the years of having to move closer for work, purely because it may have been a 2 hour drive, so instead, I would rent a unit closer so I could just catch a train or bus or drive within a 20 minute commute. Nowadays having worked in the VA industry, I can live where I want.... No more having to move closer for a job. I can live on acreage, near town, near the beach, even in a small home. This is my plan moving forward to live in a tiny house, as long as I have internet connection, that is all I need. 17.01.2022 Great time of year to look at your Social Media, your content. I'm taking bookings now for November/December and January 2021. Yes I will be working over the Christmas Break too.... Way more businesses have been contacting me in the last few weeks. I can definitely see more confidence now, compared to a few months ago where businesses were reluctant to do anything. 13.01.2022 Thankful I am extremely thankful for being in business and working for myself, it's been a lifesaver at times and I've enjoyed every second, even the highs and the low lows. I am working right up to Christmas and will be having a few weeks off in January 2021. ... I'll be back on board after the Australia Day Long Weekend. I will post the same on my Facebook Business Pages, but if you are like me and starting to make plans now for 2021 with your social media, content, blogs, business development, then you know where to find me. I have some big goals to meet in 2021, Pandemic, virus, drought, floods, whatever you want to throw at me, it doesn't matter, because if anything 2020 proved to all of us, how resilient we all are.

10.01.2022 The struggle was real this morning. I train 3 to 4 times per week. But these 4.30am starts are catching up on me. But like business...I showed up..I trained in my garage..moved the car out..got my gym stuff out and trained.... Do you train or do some form of exercise?

05.01.2022 #outsourceva #virtualassistant Could this be you? Maybe you can relate. ... I can’t afford to pay someone to help me just yet. I know I really need support, it’s just so hard to trust someone else to do what I do. I’m worried someone else will drop the ball, so I keep doing it myself. I don’t have time to train someone else in everything I do. I’ve hired/outsourced before and it didn’t work out. It’s easier to just keep doing it all on my own. Maybe look at it this way, what are you going to lose, maybe a little money and time, but I always say to people, zoom/call a few VA's, get a feel of what they can and cannot do. Go with your gut, I always do. Give them a task and see how they go with it. If they screw it up, you didn't really lose much, but if that VA is amazing...why wouldn't you. It comes down to trust... Oh, thought I would just add a picture, taken 8 years ago, so it's not recent...

02.01.2022 I have finally caught up with all the Resumes, Cover Letters and Selection Criteria for clients as I had a bit of a backlog over the last month. The best thing is, apart from catching up is I have heard back from a few clients... and...guess what..... They got an interview..... So I'm pretty chuffed to hear that news. I concentrate strongly on a clients skills and abilities, keywords and showcase their strengths. If you need some help, I charge $130.00 for a Resume, which includes 2 proofs and you receive in both word and pdf, so you can tweak and make changes yourself down the track.
