25.01.2022 Pondering my dreams & goals for 2017 over a cold peppermint tea. I find this is an important part of getting clear on where to focus my time & energy, so Im moving towards what really matters & not just getting bogged down in being "busy"! PS - I spilled my tea all over my journal just trying to get this picture! Oh gosh

17.01.2022 Found these cute little Minnesotan "squashes" as I was making pumpkin pie for Christmas. Did you know pumpkin is high in Vit A, antioxidants and is a great source of fibre!? Mmm and tastes delicious as an occasional pie too hope everyone had a great Christmas!!



17.01.2022 Had a delicious lunch of mussels today, did you know they are high in protein, essential fatty acids, selenium and iodine!? Which makes them a great addition to our diet! You can buy them from most grocery stores already cooked or smoked and ready to eat. Yum!

15.01.2022 A reminder I need often: No matter how thick the clouds or how bad the storm that rages (either in our emotions or external circumstances).. there is ALWAYS blue sky! Its always there stable, secure, everlasting. So next time youre in a storm quiet your heart and trust that the clouds will pass and know that your beautiful blue sky will pop through again!

10.01.2022 Who loves quinoa!? (Me, me, me!!! ) Quinoa is a great tasting alternative to rice, pasta and other grains. It is much easier to digest and high in protein. If you havent tried it yet, give it a go. I personally love the taste and find it really gentle on my stomach (so its great for those with gut issues!)

08.01.2022 Easy Sunday Recipe: Tamari Toasted Seeds - these will jazz up your salads & meals throughout the week. 1 cup pepitas + 1 cup sunflower seeds + 1 cup seasme seeds + 4 - 5 tbsp tamari (soy) sauce. Mix together in a bowl, spread on baking paper and bake in oven on med-high for 5 - 10 mins or until golden. Ta da! Thats it, so simple and delicious to top salads, stir frys or even eat on their own! Keep in the fridge for 1 - 2 weeks in airtight container. Enjoy

01.01.2022 I was excited to find this in the IGA this morning.. RAW milk! Apparently they have discovered a way of cold pressing the milk so it avoids pasteurisation. Its TGA approved and is supposed to preserve more nutrients in the milk than conventional processing. ("Bath" milk is still my fav but this is a great back up option you can now get from a store! Hooray )
