24.01.2022 They're struggling to survive. Their homes and sources of food are gone. Fires, drought, and heatwaves continue to ravage large parts of Australia. And yet, the... Victorian and NSW governments are allowing precious native animals like wombats, kangaroos, kookaburras, flying foxes, galahs, lorikeets, and possums to shot and killed. Every year, private landowners legally kill hundreds of thousands of native animals under easy-to-obtain permit schemes. Even during this time of unprecedented habitat and wildlife decimation, these permit schemes to slaughter native animals like NSW's aptly-named 'license to harm' are still continuing. Imagine being a wildlife carer or vet, working day and night to save as many lives as possible, knowing that every animal you've fought to save will be released only to face the threat of being shot? 22.01.2022 DELWP should hang their heads in total shame. Their erroneous claim that the kangaroos at the Lilydale site have to be culled is complete bullshit. Various Wild...life carers and rescuers throughout the state are very experienced at successfully relocating roos. Come on you members of the public, we need your support to change the attitudes of the authorities . They have NO experience with these animals yet continue to ignore those that have many years hands on experience. STOP THIS AND ALL OTHER CULLS. They will not be satisfied until our wildlife is confined to zoos and other licence paying organisations. I have edited the original post to exclude Kinley developers from the shame. According to information from Andy Meddick (AJP), the developers did suggest relocating the mob BUT IT WAS REJECTED BY DELWP.

08.01.2022 What is DELWP hiding with the fires in Gippsland, no wildlife being bought to shelters in the area except for koalas, the only wildlife coming in is from privat...e sector. Rescuers not allowed in even in the safe areas. This is not good enough. Sitting here heartbroken and have lost complete faith and trust in DELWP and the Vic Government. WHAT IS BEING HIDDEN BEHIND THE SECRECY. See more

According to the current legislation the joeys will be killed through bashing their heads. I'm over hearing that these animals in plague proportion. Humans are in plague proportion, yet culling our species is classed as murder. These animals are our first Australians they have more right to be here then we do See more

I have written a song about the East Gippsland fires It was recorded last Tuesday at Bruthen Music in Bruthen. It has been on the local radio station REGFM radio East Gippsland. The pictures I have used were taken on the night of the 30th December and early hours of New Years Eve of the Orbost bushfires. To keep it all personal, I didn't want to have to chase around for people’s permission to use photos off the internet. The photos were taken by my wife Monica on the night. 02.01.2022 Still out doing feed drops in burnt areas around Conran. Keeping an eye on two wombat burrows food taken so hopefully they are alright will be keeping eye on them. Plus all other feed drops, sighting a few wildlife but not much. Will keep updates coming.
