08.01.2022 As we head into summer, weve updated our Can I fly there? app with the latest fire and emergency operations for all Australian states and territories (except... for the Northern Territory). Flying your drone over or near a bushfire could put people, property or other aircraft at risk and could cost you more than $1000 in fines or penalties. Dont go near bushfires or any other emergency situation with your drone. Remember, drones must not be operated in a way that creates a hazard to another aircraft, person or property. Be drone smart check out droneflyer.com.au for helpful videos, a run-down on the simple rules and quick quiz to keep your drone flying fun and safe.

05.01.2022 Going to have the ask the boss if we can buy one of these :)

05.01.2022 Will you survive a fire this season? Get ready during Bushfire Action Week This week is Bushfire Action Week (October 21-18). FESA is urging all Western Australians to take action during the week by starting to prepare their homes and families for the upcoming bushfire season. ... Bushfires happen every year and it is everyones responsibility to prepare. Firefighters throughout the State are preparing for the bushfire season and they rely on the community to help them by being proactive and maintaining their properties. There are a number of ways in which people can prepare their homes and families, including cleaning up around the house, creating a building protection zone around their property and sitting down with the family to make a bushfire survival plan. People who have a bushfire survival plan and have done the work to prepare themselves and their property have the best chance of surviving a fire. Bushfire survival plans should include all members of the family and should take into account what to do with pets and livestock. Bushfire Action Week is also an opportunity for communities to come together and prepare together ahead of the fire season. Contact or join your local Bushfire Ready group. Checklists and further resources are available from http://www.fesa.wa.gov.au/bushfire or the Bushfire Action Week web page, http://www.fesa.wa.gov.au/bushfireactionweek.
