23.01.2022 2 of the group organisers, Gili and Pantelis, headed in the early hours of the morning to Warragul, where they will be spending the day helping the Warragul RSL. Tomorrow they head off the Sale for the day, where they will be further supporting the wonderful volunteers from Operation Veteran Assist.

22.01.2022 Hi All, As we reach $700 in our fundraiser, we thought we would update you all on our progress... We've been in contact with different Shires and Councils in regards to helping out. The main message we have received is that they have been inundated with support, and do not need volunteers at this current moment.... We did however receive some positive news coming out of FoodBank. They mentioned that they are definitely looking for volunteers, and encouraged us to submit an application to volunteer for them. Therefore, the current plan is to bring a group to FoodBank, help sort and distribute food to regional Victoria. In a couple weeks, once the bushfires have began to weaken (or hopefully completely stopped), we will join official organisations up in Regional Victoria. These organisations will be coordinating proper assistance to Australians in need, and we will be going up with them to help those affected recover and start rebuilding their lives. If you would like to join our group, feel free to comment below or private message the page - the more the merrier! 22.01.2022 Quick stop off at Warragul CFA to cook lunch for the firies who’ve been working 24/7 driving up and down the state helping fight the fires!

19.01.2022 Our beautiful country is on fire and its regional communities have been brought to their knees. Knowing this, a group of mates from the suburbs of Melbourne are joining together to travel to these communities and evacuation centres to provide immediate aid - we need YOUR help to bring together funds The team plan to head towards fire affected communities in the East Gippsland region to cook meals, provide emotional support and gather much needed supplies to help those who h...ave lost so much. We are aiming to reach our modest goal of $1000 as soon as possible so please dig deep - no sum is too small! We would be so grateful for your support. 17.01.2022 Its been less than 8 hours, and we have reached 1/2 of our goal of $1000! This is fantastic, and we are excited to get going and support those who need it most. Please do donate - Let's unite in the Australian spirit!... https://www.gofundme.com/f/bushfire-relief-tour

12.01.2022 A nice way to end the day, we were fortunate to receive a tour of the facilities and be shown the ins and outs of being a Firie by the fantastic guys down at Warragul CFA. One of our tents is already flooded from this weather so will be a fun 5am wake up tomorrow - pack our bags and drive back to the Warragul RSL to help prepare breakfast and pack trucks for about 100 Veterans who will be heading deep into East Gippsland.

05.01.2022 5AM wake up, 5:45 arrive at RSL and start preparing breakfast for 100 veterans who’ll be heading into Gippsland later today to help those in need. It’s going to be a long day, but the camaraderie and brotherhood shown by the Australian community is breath taking.

04.01.2022 Hey Guys, On the 8th of Feb, a group of us will be leaving for Bruthen for 4 days to work with BLAZEAID. We have space for 1-2 more to join the group - if you are interested, please message the page!... The trip will be a full camping trip, there will be toilets and possibly a shower + limited power. Cheers, BRT

04.01.2022 Today was a special one... after our 5AM wake up, we were joined by Troy, also part of our crew! We spent an hour on the phone to different people, CFA brigades etc, and were given a glimmer of hope when we were told we may potentially be needed at Bairnsdale. Bairnsdale - being in the heart of East Gippsland, is seen as a central point for everyone who has been evacuated and needs refuge, food and supplies. ... We headed to the Oval (2 hour drive), where a relief camp has been set up, and were sent to Mitre10, where the warehouse was cleared and then filled with donated food. Over the following hours, we moved pallets, organised food, carried bags, packed cars, provided support and listened to the stories of those who have been affected. This trip has been fantastic, and we are grateful and honoured to have had the support of so many people, who helped us smash our $1000 goal. At the moment, we sit on $1200, which we will be using very shortly when we travel up with BLAZEAID - an organisation which fixes houses and properties that have burnt down. Thank you again, Bushfire Relief Tour
