22.01.2022 LICORICE ROOT ~ this sweet tasting herb surprisingly has only a very slight subtle flavour to aniseed. It is perfect to add to any herbal tea blend or delicious to drink on its own. I like to steep licorice root for 5 -8 mins, water temperature 100c, and about 2 tsps per cup, but you can always adjust the brewing time for your own palate. 11.01.2022 How to store your tea! DONT Storing tea in the fridge is not good. The leaves will absorb moisture through the process of condensation. Avoid storing in a see through container, as light will degrade the leaves. storing tea with your spices could spell disaster for your tea. Tea leaves are porous and will absorb other aromas.... Always find out how old the tea is when you buy it, and use it according to its shelf life. Always line a wooden container before storing, unless the tea is put first in an airtight container. Poorly sealed storage containers will cause the tea to become stale or even mouldy. Avoid storing your tea above the oven. The heat rising will weaken the flavours. DO Seal it up! And keep it airtight. Keep it cool. Store in a dry area ideally in a cupboard. Choose fancy storage!
