19.01.2022 Beautiful handmade clay birds, drying tonight and will be getting a coating of gloss glaze early tomorrow morning. Once these are out of the kiln the mural making will start in earnest. Going to hand build leaves, trees and flowers to scatter between the birds. This is definitely going to be colourful.

16.01.2022 Julya Hegarty will be hosting a Sunshine Coast palm and raffia weaving workshop on the 18th July. Come along for a relaxing 3hr session and learn how to weave using natural plant materials. $75 all materials provided, numbers are limited. Booking via our event link.

14.01.2022 We had our very first WildArt skill building session today and what an absolutely fabulous day it was. Our morning began down in the farms dry gully space, the group of boys taking turns and learning to use some real world tools. The whittling knives, handheld drill and small saw were all utilised to make our own unique art pieces from the natural materials the boys sourced and found from the land around The Green House Farm space. During the morning we noticed the neighb...ours cows had come to the fence, to see what we were doing. Recently my mum had mentioned to me that cows loved to listen to songs and would often follow you just to listen to you sing. So of course we had to try and all of us began to sing nursery rhymes to the whole herd, we were delighted and surprised as they followed us all the way down to the climbing trees at the end of the farm land. Cows are such curious creatures and as we found out they loved listening to our rendition of twinkle twinkle little star! Exploring hidden spaces, finding small animal bones near the stream, collecting grass to feed to the cows, delighting in finding the delicate body of a Wanderer butterfly then returning it to the land so it could finish its life cycle, we engaged in all these wonderful nature adventures today at The Green House Farm space. 12.01.2022 WildArt has been slowed down by the covid-19 virus, but definitely not stopped. We have been collaborating with the teaching team and children of the Woombye Childcare Kindergarten on Nicola’s Farm developing a unique outdoor Sunshine Coast nature/farm experience and in the WildArt studio, painting and construction has started on a large community mural. We have been working collaboratively with the children and teachers of Mathew Flinders Early Learning Centre to design this beautifully colourful bush bird inspired artwork. Nature definitely inspires creativity in children and adults. Love what we do!

09.01.2022 Had an absolutely fabulous workshop today making palm leather barrel baskets with a wonderful group of ladies. Checkout their amazing handmade palm baskets from our Saturday morning session. I’m loving all the different styles and stitching.

08.01.2022 Hi WildArt tribe, Exciting news, we have a unique opportunity to collaborate with a fabulous nature based kindy on the Sunshine Coast. WildArt are running a 6week half day skill building program, for children 3yrs to 5yrs, starting Tuesday 5th May (next week)! We are keeping groups small, 10 children with 2 skilled nature educators and 35 amazing acres to explore and roam, keeping within the government’s COVID-19 guidelines.... If you live locally or know someone who has children who would like to come and enjoy some free range time on a beautiful Sunshine Coast property (Kureelpa), while developing their nature skills for 4hrs 8:30am to 12:30pm Monday’s and Tuesday’s, let them know, pass on our details, contact us via Facebook or private message. 08.01.2022 First batch of birds out of the kiln. Now making leaves for the base of the board and birds will sit on top. Love the different personalities of each bird!
