24.01.2022 Nimbin Valley Dairy lies on a winding country road between Nimbin village and Tuntable Falls in Northern NSW. The area is the traditional home of the Bundjalung... people. It’s also the home of Kerry, his partner Paul and three sons, together with approximately 100 free-ranging goats and 80 cows. Kerry has been coming to our markets for so long now we’ve forgotten when he first brought his amazing cheeses, milk, butter, yoghurt and other fabulous products for the local Gold Coast community to relish and appreciate. With Paul’s amazing cheese-making skills and Kerry’s administration talents, the pair make a fantastic team and they take their obligation to the sustainability of their farm very seriously. But now life has reminded Kerry and all of us how precious and fragile it is. Four weeks ago Kerry lost the use of both legs after doctors discovered a rare neurological condition. An amazing team of neurosurgeons, doctors and nurses are working with him with the goal to get him moving again over the next few months. Rehabilitation will be long and arduous, but we have faith in this marvellous man and his amazing sons and partner Paul, who will be supporting him through this. We’ll post later on the amazing man Kerry is and how the farm and all business are being managed with the support and love of his family, but for now our love and thoughts are with them all.
