We've been reflecting a lot here at Bush Heritage on this year's NAIDOC theme of #VoiceTreatyTruth and on the vital work Ab...original people do (and have done for millennia) protecting and preserving this country. From Gurruwiling (Arafura Swamp) in Arnhem Land down to the Budjiti Traditional Owners of our Naree Station Reserve in NSW, we continuously learn from and are inspired by our Aboriginal partners and their collective accumulated knowledge of the land and its ecology. Here’s some words from our Program Officer for the West and Aboriginal Engagement, Chontarle Bellottie, on the value of community and country: My community taught me that we have a responsibility to care for country if we care for country, it will care for us in return.
