20.01.2022 G'day Runaway Friends, The next performance of Runaway Priest is at the Red Rock Regional Theatre and Gallery, Cororooke VIC, on Saturday, July 24 at 7.30pm In ...the words of theatre critic Frances Devlin-Glass - Felix Meagher’s latest play, Runaway Priest, is an ambitious project: the intention is, in music, to protest the scandal that has beset the Church in the last four decades, clerical abuse of minors. The genre it belongs to is unusual: it’s not musical theatre, more music drama. Its complex territory and this play gets so much right. Featuring Christopher Martin-McCombe as Father Kevin Cora Browne as Maryanne Felix Meagher as Monsignor Jonah, With Matt Hadgraft at the keyboard. Felix Meagher O.A.M is the author of The Man They Call The Banjo and Barry Versus Kelly as well as co-founder and Program Director of The Lake School of Celtic Music, staged annually in Koroit, VIC Tickets at Cow Lick Books or Trybooking https://www.trybooking.com/BQNYZ

20.01.2022 Dear Runaway Friends, Given the continuing coronavirus restrictions we will not be going ahead with our July 17 -19 (date for the diary) Runaway Priest Premiere... season...yet again. We were all set to go, and will hopefully get the show up as soon as we can. Many thanks to the cast - Cora Browne, Matt Hadgraft and Chris Martin-McCombe for their patience while I was trying to organise the dates. While it was a disappointment for us, its a tragedy for many businesses out there who were no doubt looking forward to increased custom. Hopefully everything is up and going as soon as possible, best wishes, Felix Meagher. See more

13.01.2022 Adventure Before Dementia: A research scientist, fallen out of favour, imagines meeting history’s great philosophers and joins their whimsical and convivial Soc...iety of Arts. One of the (few) benefits of the lockdown is that writers get a little more time to write their shows. I have spent some very pleasant hours with Louey Hesterman and Cyril Moran on zoom working up this new show. Adventure Before Dementia is based on the songs and music of Louey Hesterman and hopefully we will get around to putting on the show next year. Adventure Before Dementia features cameo roles from Socrates, Aristotle, Descartes, Kant and Einstein. Felix Meagher See more
