22.01.2022 2020! wow! luckily some good things had happened and one of them is that I moved to a new bigger (way bigger) shed in Yarra Valley Ecoss, It happened in 2 stages as the lockdown found me half moved and then frozen for 6 weeks. Then, when I was reminded, there is a construction site waiting for my totems and got a permit, i quickly finished the move (with the help of my lovely friends Wim Heidy and hubby - Thank you so much!!). I loved being part of Yarra Ranges Enterprise Cen...tres Ltd but it was time to move on and Ecoss feels like a new wonderful home now. Really cool thing I can do now is to get @Bird in a Garden dig in the dirt of my shed and stand the totems in with his versatile equipment - a huge game changers for me and life suddenly became a little simpler :) Anyways, photos are better than words so here you go: Thanks for sticking around, I wasn't posting as I was overwhelmed and occupied with my private dramas, things are looking up from here. See more
22.01.2022 Sunday morning Giggles. A few weeks ago I was asked to make 19 small wombats and one small face plant dude (you will recognise it when you see it), when I finished it, I just HAD to have a bit of fun before I deliver. Hope you enjoy! Happy Sunday!

21.01.2022 Been away for a while, but managed yesterday a bit more progress on this piece I started at Leigh Conkie's few weeks ago. Since it was a practice piece, I just do as I wish and I love the way if flows without too much self-judgment.

18.01.2022 Autumn king has arrived, about 6 months too late, or early for his season. Very fun intuitive work. I think I might got a bit carried away with the colours.. what do you think? 60cm tall.
18.01.2022 Done and i think i got a name: 'Rona and the Doc' what do you think? I felt I need to make a sculpture that will remind me of these times. #chainsawart #chainsawcarving #woodworking #womanartist #woodcarving #covid19 #yarravalletarts #Yarraranges #yava #sculptures_victoria #sculpturesofinstagram #contemporaryartist #contemporaryart @ Warburton, Victoria

17.01.2022 Today I started a collaboration with the beautiful Bonsai Nursery Chojo Feature Trees in Sassafras. My garden sculptures are now available there. They look so lovely among the gorgeous setting.
17.01.2022 'Wisdom' is the word for a group of Wombats. I think it perfectly fits - Wombats know their way and nothing will make them change their route. #womanartist #woodworking #woodcarving #chainsawcarving #chainsawart #sculptor #sculptures_victoria #yarravalletarts #Yarraranges #yarravalley @ Warburton, Victoria

16.01.2022 Although we are under lockdown I am so glad that I popped a gazebo in my yard and started on a commission between home schooling and life under a new set of rules . Wip. #cantwaittogetbackinmyshed
16.01.2022 First coat is on. No more fiddeling. So hard to know when to stop.. I worked on her longer than most of my sculptures and I'm pretty proud. Had to redo bits of her face so many times over until I was satisfied but now, when I look at her, I think I could have done more. This sculpture is called 'I don't see you, You don't see me' and you are welcome to interpret however you like - I would love to hear your thoughts about the name and the piece.
16.01.2022 These two arrived their forever home in the hills to happily join the most beautiful family of humans! #joy #chainsawcarving #chainsawartist #wombats #Yarraranges #australianwildlife

14.01.2022 Beautiful Athena was lucky to find her forever home when her new people spotted her at Chojo Feature Trees. I have 3.5 more weeks of travel until I'm back home in Warburton I hope you all safe and well.
14.01.2022 Things are very confusing now with stage 4 restrictions in place, I can't figure out if I'm allowed to work or not. I am also mid way moving to a new space (celebratory post when it's done - i promise). Everything kinda froze mid-air. After scratching my head and waiting on the phone for answers for hours I decided to wait few days until things will clear up. Until then i will rest and be with my family. For those who struggle out there I hear you. We need to wait it out and hope to emerge to a better future. I hope you have real support and love - I'm sending you mine. Stay safe and be well

11.01.2022 The endless knot iconography symbolised Samsara i.e., the endless cycle of suffering or birth, death and rebirth within Tibetan Buddhism. The inter-twining of wisdom and compassion. ... Since the knot has no beginning or end it also symbolizes the wisdom of the Buddha. (Wikipedia) I'm in Norbulingka - Tibetan Culture centre near Dharmasala in the Indian Himalayas where I been taking traditional Tibetan wood carving course and learning to slow down and take my time. This place is beautiful and people here walk softly.

06.01.2022 So, next week is open studio weekend and I have been trying to do as much as I can!. I will keep at it until Friday which will be dedicated to a huge cleanup. Open studio is a unique opportunity to see the floor of my workshop without sawdust, and also of course to have a chat and a look around. Hope to see you there!
06.01.2022 It's busy times here at the workshop, trying to get everything done before my summer break. So lately I finished a sweet wombat that flew to her loving new home in Las Vegas where she was named Ros after the hero at Cedar Creek Wombat Rescue and hospital, I also made a Raven to a lovely local lady and just wanted to share a photo I received a couple of days ago of my Owls bench that found a stunning home in the hills. Today I will be working on a huge Beatle that will be installed in a playground in Kilsyth. I am so very grateful to all your support!
06.01.2022 So lucky and grateful that Simon from @birdinagarden is local in the valley and is super proffesional rigger and crane operator who managed to pull out and transport the last 3 totems (including the lovers delicate one, the possums and the nest). All arrived perfect, and the way he did it was absolutely amazing. What a pro! He can also clear your yard, do landscaping , driveways and much more. Always smiling, always in time and always super proffesional with better than imagined outcome. Kudos!
05.01.2022 See how much sawdust i make when shaping a baby wombat! I definitely make more sawdust than anything else. #chainsawcarving #contemporaryartist #chainsawart #yarravalletarts #yarravalley #Yarraranges #womanartist #woodcarving #wombats #australianwildlife
05.01.2022 Finishing the year by fixing/ tending to unfinished pieces. I fixed a crack with black filler on this one, then stripped off the varnish and re sanded the whole lady. She is now feeling so luxurious and smooth. I realized that for small tactile pieces oil is so much nicer to the touch.
03.01.2022 I had the honour to be interviewed and featured on a new page and website Yarra Valley News. Read the piece here and let's support them and like their page!

03.01.2022 'When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me' Let it be! I been working in the last few days in Altona north, humming this song as I try to fit her in a very narrow stump of diseased gum. Had to be flexible and to let her be . One more day next week to finish her off. Have a great weekend Y'all. @ Altona North
02.01.2022 Big thanks to everyone who gave their opinion about the eye colour. I decided to go with blue, mostly because ot was so cold this morning that i was reminded that winter has come. Stay warm and safe ppl! #chainsawcarving #chainsawart #raven #sculptors_victoria #Yarraranges #yarravalley #yarravalletarts @ Warburton, Victoria
02.01.2022 I absolutely enjoyed making this huge Beatle, I didn't have high expectations, I thought it will be somewhat boring, but then, I decided to make it fun, and interesting and it went well from there. It's amazing how our perspective on things changes our reality. Anyways, she will go to a new playground in Kilsyth and hopefully, many kids will have fun with her.
02.01.2022 The lovers. Another totem for Jells park. #chainsawart #chainsawcarving #ffla #womanartist #crows #jellspark
02.01.2022 Very close to completion! Not oiled yet. Just over 2meter high. First time I carved a tree from a log..
01.01.2022 My Owls bench will be available to rest upon and purchased during the Open studio weekend 9-10 November. Hope to see you there!
01.01.2022 Three baby wombats in three different stages of the making, none of them is finished yet. The big log they are on and the two in the background are going to make a mum to each one. Its a wombaty kind of a time.. #chainsawart #chainsawcarving #womanartist #woodworking #woodcarving #wombats @ Warburton, Victoria
