09.01.2022 When we are assisting business advisors to grow more resilient and profitable consulting practices, is ensuring they have a wide enough warm network to generate the required volume of opportunity. What is a warm network? A warm network is the group of people that trust you and will do business with you. A cold network is all those people out there that don't know you or trust you yet. The challenge for people is the 80/20 rule or Pareto Law...that 80% of the effects come fro...m 20% of the causes...meaning only 20% of your warm network is likely to do business with you. This means people often deplete their networks much more quickly than they expect. Some questions you may ask yourself: Do I have an active warm network? Is my warm network large enough? Do I have a way to grow my warm network, not just grow my cold network? Do I have a growth system to enable me to get the best outcomes and minimise the time required? Have I got an established way to reach into my warm network and identify opportunity? Does all this connect to my opportunity pipeline? Do I have a good pipeline management process that enables me to close opportunities quickly enough? Do I have a reliable conversion process?
