16.01.2022 This morning I visited one of my oldest customers, Central National Australia (CNA) in Wantirna. CNA conducts sales between paper mills all over the world Europe, Americas and Asia and customers in Australia and New Zealand. The range of paper products sold covers Publication (newsprint, magazine papers), Packaging (all packaging uses) and Printing and Writing Papers (Coated paper, Copy paper, etc.) with a wide customer base. The software they use to do this was written by myself. I started work on it in 2004. Today I fixed a bug with PEFC orders, modified the order email process and EDI processing. Here I am pictured with their Managing Director Mr Scott Hordern. Handsome aren't we.

13.01.2022 Just finished attending a Business Essentials Workshop hosted by John Millar and I am glad I did. I always come away from such things with a head full of ideas. Today's workshop was about customer service, now I am going to work on a few of BIA's policies while it is still fresh. Sorry no picture.

Context and purpose are the key and Kit can give you advice on your particular circumstances. I also discovered Kit is not happy with his CRM. "Too much hard work." I will be talking to Kit about Purebiz and how he wants to get more out of his customer relationship management.

11.01.2022 I had a very interesting chat this morning with Lindsay Hodgson of Coulson Financial Services (http://coulsonfinancial.com.au). While putting together a comprehensive financial plan tailored to your needs is very important, you have to work it. Follow it through. Lindsay told me this was one of the most important things he does. I am not going to argue with a man who has been in the business for more 30 years. From an information point of view he hates "feeds" that don't process. A feed is an information exchange with another business, like Electronic Document Exchange and businesses use them to be faster, more accurate and more efficient. If you would like to know more about getting information from your customers or suppliers via a means that is more efficient than email please contact me.
