13.01.2022 Sorry for no posts the last couple of weeks. We attended our first expo, The Saputo Dairy Expo in Korumburra Victoria. The biggest thing we learned was that these things take a lot of time & planning. Next week we will be back to normal. so keep your eye out for the next app.
13.01.2022 Little delay in getting this post out. a virus & the start of the tax year slowed us down a little. This week we launched Quotient to handle our need primarily to issue engagement letters to Clients. It is great because we also price up front so we combine the price as a quote & our engagement letter.Set up was so easy.it links well with our QBO file drawing down items & contacts. We have set up a few templates to cover our most common client types & these are very easy to ad...apt to our needs. Cost for a Single Team Member is $29 AUD & $49 AUD for 2 to 5 Team Members. In our case as I am the only person who does job pricing a single member is fine. Time wise it is great. Visited a Client yesterday and sent the prepared quote & was done in minutes. His wife who is also a Client wanted her tax done as well. In 2 minutes it was done & accepted. 10.01.2022 Starting a new trial today. I signed up with Receipt Bank. On-boarding was very good. Pricing was quoted without GST which is a little misleading. I will be interested to see how it compares to Hubdoc & Autoentry. set up & linking with QBO was simple. I had most of it done before I even spoke to the on-boarder. I will play with it for a month & RB will get back to me to see if I need any help or have any issues.

08.01.2022 This year has been a very disrupted time & our move has added to that so I am behind on my posting. After the Christmas break we will be focusing on productivity apps for QBO & Xero. If you have any you would like us to review let us know. In the meantime we hope everyone has a safe & happy holidays. To all the firefighters out there dealing with the bush fires be safe.
07.01.2022 My first post was to be on Elementor an app to help with creating great Word Press sites however a little issue with my WP account has delayed it. Instead I will just talk quickly about setting up my new Square Reader on QBO & an android phone. The reader cost $59 AUD. putting the app on my phone & creating an account was 10 minutes & connecting to my QBO account another 5 minutes. So in 15 minutes I was all set up. I only set it up yesterday so no use yet. Comments I have r...ead talk about issues when more than 1 payment is taken in a day being hard to identify. I might try putting through a couple of small transactions to see if this is an issue. If it is there is another app in the QBO app store which handles this issue for Square, Stripe & Paypal. After I have done the test I will see if that improves these issues. The one thing is that the other app is free for less than 50 transactions per month. So I am looking forward to testing it. 04.01.2022 Currently working on a comparison review of Receipt Bank, Hubdoc & Auto Entry. While I do this I thought I would talk about web hosting. Currently I have domain & DNS on Opensrs, my website on Siteground & my email running through Exchange.I have been with Opensrs for probably 8 years, but I have today decided that issues I am having with Exchange are being caused by my DNS. I needed to make changes but they were just too hard on Opensrs so I started looking at my options. S...iteground also do DNS hosting so I went on their tech chat line & in 10 minutes all my questions were answered. Tonight I finish moving all my DNS settings to Siteground. Nameservers are already done so I now only need to add my mail settings. In the end it was the simplicity in getting answers that made me move. I have an issue and instead of spending hours (as I did on Opensrs) I spent minutes & I had my answers. So hopefully tomorrow my email problems will be gone.
