22.01.2022 Here's what another member has said about our service : " I was first associated with Business East in 2010 after coming to Tasmania to start my business. Business East has provided great support and has presented many opportunities for networking with businesses on the Eastern Shore. Business East also provide information on training opportunities, many of which are of little or no cost as well as passing on newsletters from a variety of sources including alerts to changes in relation to taxation, superannuation and WorkSafe Tasmania." 14.01.2022 A wonderful time was had by all who attended the Enterprising Women's and Men's Forum Christmas Dinner held at the Bellerive Yacht Club. Guest speaker Belinda Hazell gave a presentation on Consumer Expectations and the #howandwhywefarm concept. Belinda highlighted that customers values are changing from value (price) to values; and their expectations for safe, sustainable and affordable food are making it tougher for farmer's to produce the fresh produce that they want.... Interestingly, during COVID-19 impacts, consumer purchasing patterns have changes with over 30% wanting an increased connection with local supply chains, and 74% changing their eating habits and eating at home. Belinda suggests we to get to know our local supply chain, talk with the farmers, and understand how and why they farm. This will give us a heightened sense of how fantastic our produce is and that what our farmer's are doing is for social purpose, growing healthy and nutritious food for the ongoing wellbeing of our communities. We encourage you to share #howandwhywefarm

02.01.2022 MESSAGE TO EASTERN SHORE BUSINESSES Due to COVID-19, the 2020 City of Clarence Business Excellence and Service Awards will not be held. It is felt that it would be unfair with some of our businesses having to close down completely, others having to stand down staff, and hardly any will have had a full year of normal trading.... We look forward to conducting the Awards again in 2021. In this current economic climate, Business East is here to assist you wherever possible, so please do not hesitate to contact us on (03) 62448005 or via email at [email protected]
