22.01.2022 BECA is supporting the call for the #businessevents industry and broader community to get vaccinated as quickly as they are able, to support the first stage of the Government’s 4-step national plan and #GiveBEaShot. On Friday, 30 July, National Cabinet agreed in principle to transition Australia’s National COVID-19 Response, providing a pathway forward for the country. 16.01.2022 All states and territories have exceeded 50% of 1st doses of COVID-19 vaccinations administered to Australian adults, with NSW and ACT approaching 70%. From a national perspective, 58.7% of people over the age of 16 have had at least one dose, with 35% fully vaccinated. Tasmania and ACT have now passed 40% fully vaccinated. Business events restart, recovery and rebound is in our arms and BECA is supporting the call for the industry and broader community to get vaccinated for ...COVID-19 as quickly as they are able. 14.01.2022 BECA has welcomed a lifeline with #JobKeeper supporting almost every business in the #businessevents industry. The results of an industry-wide survey released yesterday have shown over 110,000 employees across the industry have been supported by the wage subsidy. 09.01.2022 Australian Bureau of Statistics data has confirmed the extreme shutdown of Australia’s international #businessevents industry with short-term visitors arriving in April 2020 whose main reason for travel was to attend a convention or conference recorded as zero. 06.01.2022 This week #Australia achieved a 51% #vaccination rate of adults receiving their 1st dose with almost 30% fully vaccinated.
