03.01.2022 WEATHER UPDATE: Unfortunately, weather models are predicting continued heavy rainfall on and off for the next 5 days. The slow moving system, combined with a ne...w front set to slide across towards Port Stephens from the west, will produce falls in excess of 200mm in the next few days. This is not ideal for areas already heavily impacted by floodwaters, landslips and water damage. Grahamstown dam is currently well over 100% full, with the dam spilling. This is a stark contrast to water restrictions we experienced not to long ago. Several roads remained closed: Road closures: Austral Street, Nelson Bay Bay Street, Nelson Bay Clarence Town Road, Seaham from Dixon Street intersection (connects to East Seaham Road) Clarence Town Road, Clarence Town north of Wallaroo Creek (see Dungog Council for details) Dowling Street, Nelson Bay Foreshore Drive, Corlette road collapsed Lily Hill Road, Nelson Bay Marine Drive, Fingal Bay near Barry Park Moorooba Crescent, Nelson Bay near Stockton Pond Newline Road, Eagleton Six Mile Road to East Seaham Road Old Swan Bay Road, Twelve Mile Creek Medowie Road to Pond Road Parkes Street, Nelson Bay Riverside Drive, Karuah Teramby Road, Nelson Bay land slip onto car park Tomaree Headland Shoal Bay Road to boat ramp Wallalong Road, Wallalong from Morpeth Street to Paterson Road Water over the road: Adelaide Street, Raymond Terrace Ferodale Road, Medowie near Campvale Drain Gan Gan Road, One Mile High Street, Wallalong Hinton Road, Hinton Hunter Street, Raymond Terrace near Glenelg Street Kangaroo Street, Raymond Terrace Aldi supermarket carpark Lemon Tree Passage Road, Salt Ash just after Michael Drive Nelson Bay Road and Medowie Road roundabout, Williamtown Nelson Bay Road at Frost Road, Nelson Bay one lane closed Wards Way, Salamander Bay near Wanda Avenue
