06.01.2022 Redbacks Chase Me Charlie Memorial Class sponsored by Choices Flooring By Gundrys Redback (aka Minka) was an Australian Pony bred in Adelaide, EA registered name Koorana Court Jester. He was broken in by Clair Parker whilst she was living in SA and he had a successful show pony career before finding his way to the Hunter family in Singleton NSW, this is where his jumping career started with @jake.hunter.771 He was sold onto @izabelle.dobson.7 and his name was changed from Mi...ckey to Minka and show name to Redback. Izabelle Dobson We got Minka when I was 8, we bought him sight unseen from Sydney and got a shock when the first ride I got bucked off twice. We had to get Kelly Stevens to ride him for over a year before I was able to ride him without falling on the ground. After all that he turned out to be the most amazing pony winning many classes, He was the type of pony you would either fall off or win When Belle grow out of Minka he was sold to @chloe.versteegen.7 Chloe and Minka where a formidable team, they won countless classes and high point award together and Chloe developed her passion for Show Jumping. We purchased Minka for @jane.gundry.79 when she was 10, they were a perfect match, Minka was in his senior years now and couldnt be bothered trying to get his jockey off anymore, although a quashed toe or a good bump on the top of Janes head could be guaranteed once in a while. Jane & Minka had a ball together, they won numerous events and worked up to 1m rounds and at the interschool jumps offs, jumped a clear 105 round, not a bad effort for an ageing 12.2h pony. But their favourite weekend was always Busselton. They loved the Chase Me Charlie winning it twice and jumping 1.25 in there last year together. Minka went on to teach more children the ropes in is twilight years. We retained ownership to the day he died at 25. RIP our little Stinky Minky. Didy Gundry See more
