15.01.2022 Let's unpack the boxes! A recent trend in my shop is the customer who orders the complete range and I'm loving it. This is a recent Swan Princess order with the organic knit bassinet sheet and blanket, and the organic knit newborn set with little pants and hat. She has also added a fleece blanket with dandelions and pink superhero mask, for contrast and whimsy! Beautiful!

11.01.2022 Today I am thinking of you all staying safe. My mind was full of the new parents and their loved babies who will sleep in the fun bedding and look cute in the bibs. It was a good day to make bibs in the quiet studio, keeping my mind off the fear we all are feeling, and looking for good news stories in the media. Take care everyone and listen to the good advice and practice social distancing. I hope you all have a safe space you can share with your loved ones and are resourceful if you run out of toilet paper!

03.01.2022 Elske signature organic cotton knit baby blankets. Why is organic so important for a baby? Your baby's newborn skin is sensitive, and vulnerable. Also babies are not great with temperature regulation in the beginning, and that is why you need natural fibres near their skin. Natural fibres help regulate temperature, absorb moisture, and keep baby dry. An organic fibre, made without chemicals, will mean nothing nasty is absorbed through their tender new skin into their fresh new bodies. The Elske blanket is a little bit stretchy, just the right amount to wrap around baby, but not restrict their movement too much. 03.01.2022 Elske Australian flora and fauna! We are back in the Elske workshop, finally starting the new year in earnest. I'm sad though, as I work on the new Elske Australian flora and fauna range, which embraces Australia's unique habitat. It has been a heartbreaking summer with 1.25 billion animals lost in the bushfires. I have been visiting a nature reserve near where I live in the city of Melbourne, to sit near the kangaroos, and hope to see a sugar glider if I can, and to breathe in the eucalyptus, to calm myself. These are the organic cotton knit wraps ready for stitching, look for cot sheets, minky blankets, and of course, the signature Elske wool quilt. Watch this space as we release 25 new designs!
