24.01.2022 Change is not about being easy.... It’s about commitment and consistency It’s about trying something different ... It’s about believing that even when sometimes you can’t see it!!! ...how all the work, the doubt, pushing out of your comfort zone and the tears are WORTH IT because suddenly it all starts to fall into place So proud of my client. Now 9 months of giving me the joy of coaching her...watching her change...everything is now coming together- almost 13kg down, 1 chin gone a beautiful youthful waistline reappearing and collarbones peaking out to say hello. To reclaim this in your 50’s as a woman is a joyous thing...and she is! It’s fabulous and again today I feel warm and fuzzy and emotional about seeing another person who deserves to feel great and have great health take control back. I get everyone I work with at certain points in their journey to take stock of their lives, their priorities and where they place value. She has kindly allowed me to share her one from September 2019...look under the circles for her CURRENTLY and then see the latest this week of what she places first in her week now - it’s awesome I said to her....do you feel that you have lost anything? Her answer NO Do you feel you have gained? ABSOLUTELY !! She still does everything she always did but she just does it differently, knows the power of saying no in a nice way when needed and having Me Time. 23.01.2022 We are in times when so many of us are struggling. You see smiles and when you ask someone how are you we are all guilty of saying 'I'm good' when in reality maybe you are not really that good. Not everyone can ask for help - we live in world where the expectation of having your s##t together all the time while never aging or gaining a pound is prevalant and soul destroying. We feel this immense pressure to have our ducks in a row. Do you remember a moment when someone did so...mething for you that seemed so simple but meant so much? To help someone does not require money or gifts....it is just the act of kindness that can make such a difference - a smile, a hug, noticing something positive about someone and letting them know. A word of gratitude, a thank you or even just to say you are truly sorry (and that does not come with a 'but' after it ).... Some years ago a lady Marissa Cummins who had been part of one of my group 12 week programs unexpectedly left a Christmas present at my door. It was an apron and a teatowel. It was so thoughtful unexpected and I loved it.....a year rolled on and so did life......then Christmas the next year was here. At this time I was still a solo mother, had been having a rough few months juggling life and building my business to be honest. A messenger message arrives while I was literally whipping creme for Christmas day - "There is something at the door for you" and there wrapped up beautifully was a gift. A new Apron and Teatowel from Marissa with some lovely words along with it. I had not had contact with Marissa for ages! I'm sharing this now because this moment made me cry in a good way because in that moment I felt like I mattered when I was having an attack of self doubt.........can you identify with what I am saying? One moment yet so precious and one I will never forget. So what is yours? and who would you like to acknowledge today on my post to remind them that they did something that mattered to you? 20.01.2022 THE WINTER IN WATER It is officially winter in my neck of the woods. A time of year where my idea of happy is to stay in my Fleecy pj’s, hibernating at home cosy by my heater! ... I don’t know about you but summer equals drinking water, lots of water like a camel, and winter is like peeking your head outside, getting hit with a cold blast and goingno thank you! Why at a time when our skin drys up and we fight the dry itch we struggle to keep our daily hydration routine??? By nature as humans we are driven by two main feelings...we avoid things that cause discomfort and seek things that give us comfort. So swilling back a cold one that doesn’t even give you a payoff like an alcoholic beverage is not very appealing right? What to do? Here are my TOP three tips to drinking more of the good stuff : 1. Start drinking hot water. Want to flavour it? Lots of green teas on the market today and many have fruit extract and are tasty and really beneficial to your health. The other alternative is a slice of lemon. 2. Align drinking water with a daily habit. Nearly 40% of your day believe it or not is habit formed. So it makes sense that to try to build the habit of doing something like drinking more water is easier if you do it at the same time as something else you do every day. I built the habit of drinking water first thing while in my bathroom...now it’s just a habit! 3. Set a daily water goal and have a reward at the end of the week. What’s something small you can reward yourself with when you have been consistent throughout the week? Or have a water challenge and set a goal with a friend. Who can drink the most If you are serious about your health then it is something to take seriously. Inadequate water can cause fatigue, headaches, muscle cramps and even dizziness. It is one of those important pieces of the health puzzle that isn’t that difficult to do you just need to stop and think about it and make a plan to mindfully do it every day! 18.01.2022 The COVID-19 situation has seen so many changes within us all. For all the bad things that have happened...my business has been impacted financially too, there has also been a lot of good. A chance for people to slow down, to take stock of what is important...to start looking after their health better. ... In the many years of coaching people in weight management the majority of my clients have been women. The interesting thing with COVID is now I actually have more private MALE clients !!!! Did you know in Australia Obesity and overweight adults are made up of 60% males!! Our fathers, husbands, boyfriends and brothers have been fighting their own silent epidemic....they try the pills, the diets, the potions, they go to the gym....they know they are losing their private battle and feel Less of the Young bloke they used to feel like but they just don’t talk about it. After all most guys see asking for help particularly with weightloss as a sign of weakness in their mind right? Men don’t ask for help do they...they solve our problems. They provide for our families. SO in a pandemic that is killing people and making us start to look at our health and our future I feel privileged that I offer a service to help our guys reclaim their ‘manhood’. We think woman go through menopause well I can tell you that men have their own mid life struggles too. I’ve just had 2 of my guys graduate This means they have lost the weight and are now in maintenance phase so I still coach them but not every week because now they are living a better lifestyle...I’m the training wheels now helping them stay on track and soon well those wheels will be gone. Our guys don’t gush but I’m telling you there is nothing more exciting than watching a man reclaim his sense of manhood! 18.01.2022 DAY 30 EXERCISE DAY It’s time to get moving...listen to hear your exercise tasks! Tip... Now it is getting colder and that can = wanting to stay home on the couch or under the dooner!! A key way of continuing to exercise is if you focus on what the outcome will be? What’s in it for you right now ? We know it is good for our mental state but this can not be motivational enough when our mental state is already in a bad place. But what exercise WILL DO every time is make you WARMER!! (And who doesn’t want to be Warmer in winter!!) So get your gear on, know you face will be cold but think about how much warmer you will feel In your body for the rest of the day! Get someone at home to do your measurements or buy a smart scale that will measure things for you What fitness goals do you want to have achieved ie running 3km without stopping? What unhealthy habit will be gone from your life? Now you have made those decisions create a VISION for what that will look like....it’s Christmas time, where are you? Who are you with? 14.01.2022 Sharing is caring . I’m a huge advocate for eating real whole food. At the same time I recognise some things we eat from a packet. Whole grains are so important to your gut health, to your healthy waistline, your energy level....usually I make my own Granola but at the moment I can’t. Found this one and Sharing a really great Granola you might like to try. ... It’s about making sure you don’t have too much of a good thing but if your going to have it make sure it’s the best of the bunch. I like to have yoghurt, berries and a couple of tablespoons of this as a meal...super yum super filling! Have an amazing day Tanisha x

Have your pain under control Google exercises for upper or lower body (depending on your injury) that you can do from home. Make a realistic plan to have at least 3 days when you are actively working muscles for at least 30 mins (remember your healing so be realistic about what is just right and not too much. Enlist a friend to do it with you or be there to help you so you are safe. see your exercise as not just something to help with weight management but for the MENTAL gains you get here.
