23.01.2022 This aftetnoon we celebrated Jai's 9th birthday with games and birthday cake. First game was Mummy wrap, where you use toilet paper to wrap a person. Harder than you think as everyone's paper kept tearing. Lots of giggles going on especially from Isla. Next was pass the parcel, then delicious chocolate cupcakes. Thanks Alexis for organising a great afternoon. Happy Birthday for tomorrow Jai
20.01.2022 This young man, Jai is his name, will be an entrepreneur for sure when he is older. He comes up with some amazing ideas. Here is Jai with his popper stall for tuckshop last week.
19.01.2022 What a night it was at the Malanda Christmas Street Markets. It felt like the whole of Malanda was there to support local schools, businesses and community groups. Our amazing, hardworking P&C and school staff served up 100's of sausages in bread and sold heaps of tickets in our raffle. Here are the winners of the raffle. 1st prize to Rhonda 2nd prize to Carly... 3rd prize to Sue Fairley. We also filled our 100's board and drew the winning ticket out. 100's winner is Tonia. All the winners will be notified by phone. Congratulations and thank you to everyone who supports our little school. We appreciate it. See more
17.01.2022 A BIG HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY to Miss Mikaylah for last Saturday. She celebrated at school with a birthday cake to share. It was delicious too.
12.01.2022 As a part of their science unit " Material Use " ( where they are learning about how physical properties of materials affect their use), the years 3 &4 students selected natural materials according to their properties and to suit a purpose. They then used these natural materials to create an item e.g. an artefact; jewellery or clothing. In the process, the students also learned about joining techniques and how best to combine materials. The students were very imaginative and did a wonderful job of using natural materials available from around the school.

02.01.2022 Here at Butchers Creek we are so fortunate to have such amazing parents who take on one Friday a term to be our Tuckshop cook. Those parents who work and still give, we thank you so very much for your precious time in cooking each term. To our parents who come and prepare, cook, serve and clean up, thank you as it makes our jobs just that little bit easier every Friday tuckshop day. :) We appreciate you and say " WE LOVE OUR TUCKSHOP" and couldn't do it without your assistance.
