17.01.2022 Rate Creep. Over the past couple of months I have been dealing with a few clients whose interest rates have crept up to a level where they are now paying well over the top on their rate. It is not uncommon for banks to gradually increase your rate over time and all banks do it. I call this rate creep.... It is therefore important to keep an eye on your rate and to contact your broker to get in touch with your lender to have your rate improved. At a minimum you should do this every couple of years. Note that in two cases recently my customers approached the bank direct to have their rate improved but the bank was not prepared to improve the rate for these clients to the level that I was able to get them (the bank manager reduced the rate to about 4.05% but I was able to get them down to 3.7%). How much money would a 0.35% reduction to your interest rate save you?

04.01.2022 Hi Friends, As you all know I am a self employed mortgage broker, and have always represented my clients best interests when trying to secure finance for them. The final report from the Banking Royal Commission now places the entire mortgage broking industry at risk and, what is worse, hands the power of borrowing money back to the big banks.... I ask that you please take some time and go to the below website to help support our industry. It may just keep me in business so that I can continue to support your borrowing needs and get you a better deal than if you go direct to the bank yourself. https://www.brokerbehindyou.com.au/

02.01.2022 What a fantastic interview with Mark Bouris and Ben Fordham 2GB 873 - Sydney Talk Radio discussing what impact the Royal Commission Recommendations may have on the mortgage broker industry, small business owners and the consumers.
