21.01.2022 PROJECT: TOY DRIVE! Our video of Ellie’s port access affected many people who left comments about her bravery. Now, there is one thing that you can do to enco...urage her and remind her of her bravery; it’s called ‘The Bravery Box’. After scary procedures like port access, or just after a really bad day in hospital, kids like my Ellie get to choose a present from ‘The Bravery Box’. This incredible organisation, which was started by a cancer affected family, supplies donated gifts to our kids. It is often the only highlight of a child’s visit to oncology. For the first time in a long time, ‘The Bravery Box’ are running dangerously low in stock and they’ve asked us for help. The Ellie Project is all about supporting paediatric oncology through intentional, short projects. So, on the 5th June, we are running Project: Toy Drive!! This project aims to collect toys and gifts that we can donate to both ‘The Bravery Box’ and Toowoomba’s Oncology Unit to remind children suffering with cancer of their bravery. You’ll find us at The Paddock on the 5th of June, helping them celebrate their 1st birthday! The Paddock have been a wonderful support to our family and continue donating portions of sales to us directly to help us with the ongoing costs of this disease. We are so grateful to them and we are joining their party (I hear there’s a petting zoo!)! Come see us at The Paddock and help us collect some gifts for all the brave Ellies out there!
