21.01.2022 I had a little catch up with one of my Celebrate T21 clients today, because we were unsure of how Master Alex would go with studio lights flashing and because I like to get to know my clients before their session. Just a few test shots, and he didnt mind the flash at all.. he did however make sure I knew that HE was BOSS... and he would only cooperate on his terms!! Cheeky much!! I know that one of the most common reasons families arent able to commit to getting good quality professional photos is because sometimes money is tight! I know this, because Ive been there myself; although you really really want some beautiful portraits of your family hanging up in your home- it just doesnt fit into the family budget Sooo Ive been thinking about offering payment plans to make it more affordable for our c...lients. Not only for our family sessions, but for all of our sessions; newborn, maternity, childrens portraiture and cake smashes too! It could also be on products such as canvases and albums. 05.01.2022 Why are newborn Photographers so expensive? |Buttons & Bows Photography | SAFETY Probably the most important factor in determining the price is SAFETY. You've just created the most precious being in your whole world, you want them to be safe in the hands of whomever is photographing them. Not only have I taken multiple courses on how to safely pose and photograph your baby, I've got my blue card which means I’ve been screened by Queensland working with children check and I’v...e also make sure my Senior First Aid and CPR courses which are designed specifically for working with newborns and children are always up to date. Theses courses are constantly changing and as a newborn photographer I believe it’s my responsibility to provided you and your family with the assurance of regulated training and safety checks. It takes money and education to know how to do the things I do. Newborn safety is number one in any professional newborn photographers mind, it is extremely important. All to often you see new people jumping in to offer newborn photography services with low prices and low quality images that show a lack in knowledge on how to safely pose and handle a newborn. I understand that everyone has to start somewhere but in an industry where we as photographers are working with your most precious possessions it is paramount to invest in proper training for safety. Many clients bring me Pinterest screenshots which they ask me to recreate and most of the time I’m happy to create something similar. But what these Pinterest screenshots don’t show is the ‘behind the scenes footage’ it could be a baby laying in a suspended swing or on top of a guitar or in a glass heart. A baby should never be in the air or hanging swing, neither should they be on a unsupported surface and I would never pose a newborn in any form of glass. But these images are out there, and so you may ask how. how are these photographer able to create such images? The answer is simple- Composites. An experienced newborn photographer will photograph these images as composites and stitch/layer several images together to create one beautiful image. An inexperienced photographer will try and re-stage exactly what they can see in the image, which could possibly be putting your baby at risk of harm or injury. There are many horror stories out there of serious injuries to babies because they were mishandled by someone who didn't know what they were doing. All I ask is, please do your research and ask questions before you book your next newborn photographer. Thank you Salma

02.01.2022 We all know that this year has been a roller-coaster ride of emotions! Family outings have been restricted, events have been postponed and loved ones are not able to get together as much as we would love to. To tell you the truth, its been crap! Why dont we change things around and end 2020 with a high? What better way than to celebrate the joys of Christmas and make some beautiful family memories along the way! Join us at our studio for a beautiful christmassy experience, ...this year we have three different setups to choose from. Our Christmas bedroom where you can snuggle up with your family and have a bite of Santas cookies. Our Christmas lounge is perfect for reading a Christmas story and exploring all the different interactive props we have to offer. Our Christmas Kitchen is FUN! Have a play with flour, mix, and knead the cookie dough and use cookie cutters to make Christmas cookies! Christmas mini sessions will run for a period of 4 weeks, between October 18th - November 14th 2020. With each session going for 45mins-1 hour, and only two sessions available daily (10:30am or 3:30pm). Giving us plenty of time to clean and sanitise all surfaces in between clients.
