25.01.2022 Special Edition Newsletter What a wonderful Term 3 we have had here at Buxton Public School. Here are some photos and videos of the great learning that has gone on throughout the Term !!

24.01.2022 Jelly Bean Guessing Competition Year 6 are running a jelly bean guessing competition to raise money for their upcoming farewell. It is only 50c a guess . Year 6 will be in the playground every morning with the jars and to record students guesses.

23.01.2022 REMINDER Mufti Day The SRC met and decided on a mufti day to support the Yr 6 Farewell. Students are invited to come to school tomorrow in mufti clothing and donate a gold coin. Please ensure that your child/ren wear closed in shoes and have sun safe clothing on for this day.

22.01.2022 REMINDER Ice Cream Day Thanks to the P&C, we will be having an ice cream fundraiser day tomorrow to raise money for the Year 6 Farewell which will be held as an event during the school day late Term 4. Please bring $1 to purchase an ice cream cup with your choice of chocolate or strawberry topping and sprinkles.

20.01.2022 Harmony Week is being held this year from 21st to the 27th of March. It’s a week to celebrate our cultural diversity. It's a week about inclusiveness, respect and to let everyone know that they belong in this beautiful country we live in. We enjoy different cultures, food, ideas, music and art that come from all over the world. Here at Buxton Public School, we will be celebrating on Tuesday 23rd of March, with students being asked to wear a token orange item. Maybe a pair of orange socks or a bow in their hair. We will also be having a coloring in competition. There will be a $5 canteen voucher for the winner in each stage. We look forward to seeing all the beautiful coloring being handed in.

19.01.2022 Canteen News We have a new product for sale over the counter in the canteen this week. Ice Mony ice blocks are available in chocolate and watermelon flavour and are only $1! These foods are a green food according to the NSW Healthy School Canteen guidelines, this means they classify as an everyday food.

18.01.2022 REMINDER Applications for Picton High School Academic Enrichment Class for 2021 are due tomorrow 4th September for Year 6 students that are interested. Forms have been sent home with students last week.

17.01.2022 Canteen Special Homemade pasta bolognese including garlic bread is on sale for $4 per serve until sold out.

16.01.2022 BUS UPDATE We believe there was an issue with one of the buses this morning on the way to school. We are just advising that both buses have arrived safely to school.

16.01.2022 On Tuesday 24th November we had a special visit from director Belinda Wall. Mrs Collins was presented with a certificate of recognition for her contribution and response to the NSW Bushfires 2019-2020. We are so incredibly proud. Congratulations from all of us at Buxton Public School.

07.01.2022 BOOK CLUB Book Club magazines will be sent home with students today. Orders can be made until Friday 11th September at 3pm. Payments are to be made online via Book Club. Instructions on how to pay are located at the back at the magazine.

07.01.2022 Reminder the canteen reopens tomorrow. All lunch orders are to be dropped off to the office before the bell and online payments can be made up until 6pm tonight for a lunch order tomorrow. Thank you for supporting our school operated canteen.

06.01.2022 NEW BIRTHDAY BASKETS New to the canteen are birthday baskets. These can be ordered through the school at a cost of $10 and come with a helium balloon and enough popcorn or sugar free Zooper Doopers for each child in the class. Students get to keep their balloon on their desk for the day and then take it home with them. If you are interested in organising a birthday basket for your child please call the office on 46 818 229 or email [email protected]. Payments can be made online via the website or in cash. Please order at least one day in advance.

06.01.2022 CANTEEN NEWS Hot Cross Buns available to order from the canteen until the end of the term. You can order these for lunch or recess. Fruit or fruitless available plus gluten free and vegan options available. $1.50 each
