21.01.2022 The Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre (ASHOF) has commenced the biggest transformation in its 30-year history, with a leading artis...tic and creative direction of the bush icon’s $15 million gallery redevelopment. ASHOF will undergo a bold, new vision for the Longreach tourist attraction as part of a two-year project, which will involve completely redesigning the Centre’s five themed galleries. All-new exhibits will tell the stories of Australia’s pioneering history, at the same time pushing the boundaries of innovative storytelling and immersive design, and staying true to the founding spirit of the Centre. The two-year project commenced in November 2019. Stage 1- the new Garraway café & dining precinct, The Outback Cinematic Experience, Billabong redesign was completed in May 2020. This initiative has been funded by the Federal Government Community Development Grants program. Until 6 months ago I was working two part time jobs and running my very small homebased hobby in my spare time. I starting fiddling around making magnesium products for my own use about 4years ago as I was l...ooking for an alternative to taking magnesium orally. 11.01.2022 POPUP SHOP BUSINESS HIGHLIGHT Outback Sewing THE OUTBACK AWAITS YOU ABOUT US My husband and I have been at home in the country for all our lives, living in the little village of Flinton, located in Southwest Qld. When you live in the country, most of your day is spent doing hard work. But after our kids grew up and left home, I was on the lookout for a job which would give my body some reprieve.... In 2016 we happened to come across a sewing machine at a garage sale. Considering we had only just finished construction on a hobby shed, this seemed like the stars aligning. We are both passionate about learning new skills, thus we jumped at the opportunity to increase our knowledge of industrial sewing. Many years ago, we dipped our toes into industrial sewing with some dog collars and were ecstatic to build on this. Before long we were producing custom PVC vinyl gear bags, working with shade cloth and canvas material as well. We are passionate about colour design and we are always experimenting with different colour combinations. Creating different items and working with our customers to create the perfect product for them has become the highlight of our day. See more
