25.01.2022 Had an enquiry for a client wanting to know if we had a half inch reel to reel tape machine.... turned out to be the legendary Michael Stavrou... aka Studio Stav... of the (mixing with your mind' kind) ... deal was option (a) we would archive his client from tape... option (b) was he would take the inch machine.. clean and do its azmith and demagnetise it and do it from home.... option (b) please..... Ok.. then when he showed up to pick up tape machine asked if he could play ...a few tracks threw our monitors to check the control room........ I was already shaking by then..... First track he played was Fleetwood Mac.. like the version he tracked with them ... then it was Rolling Stones... then OMG he played a Queen number.... Sorry for the rant.. but.. Cool cat is Stav... epic magician too.... hit us up if want him to work on your next project... See more
