23.01.2022 Next time you see this... now you know!

17.01.2022 Seen today between Yarraman and Blackbutt...missed photographing the dingo and hare!

16.01.2022 If you are on the BVRT travelling from Lowood towards Clarendon/Coominya/Esk have a good look at Pete's Hobby Nursery just as you leave town. It is spectacular what is grown along the BVRT here.

11.01.2022 We joined a few members from Birds Queensland for a casual BVRT Birding Walk along the Trail through Borallon this morning. We heard & saw so many different spe...cies; from Sulphur Crested Cockatoos to Straw-Necked Ibis, a King-Parrot, Scarlet Honeyeater, Speckled Warbler, Golden Whistler, Rose Robin & Silvereye, among the usual inhabitants (Pardalotes, Kookaburras, Scaly Breasted Lorikeets, Pale-Headed Rosellas, Friarbirds, Honeyeaters & Wrens). An absolutely delightful & relaxing morning with our friends from Birds Queensland observing with our binoculars the abundant bird life that call this section of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT) home. We walked from James Rd to Borallon Stn Rd return (~2.5kms), with Morning Tea back at James Rd at the conclusion of the walk.

11.01.2022 And then there are these and a handy reminder...

10.01.2022 This area is being planted specially to support local wildlife. Much to his dislike, today we snapped a picture of our site supervisor who randomly pops in for ...a day or two to check on the plant selection. While he is great to work for and never complains, we have at times caught him out looking generally disinterested and sleeping on the job. See more

10.01.2022 While on the BVRT look for these birds...

04.01.2022 Recently a bushfire went through the area between Benarkin and Linville. What a change to the environment around MacNamaras Camp!!

04.01.2022 Watch out for the Wanora magpie, the result of an attack on a riders helmet!
