13.01.2022 The River roster for 20/21 is now up in our pinned post. The committee is currently working through a Covid safe plan for how we run scrutineering for existing members for the season. We have extended the 201920 permits for existing members in order to continue to allow access to the river. We will be reviewing this in the coming months and expect to run a scrutineering session and membership renewal in early 2021. We are currently working through our plan for scrutineerin...g of new boats for existing members and for new members it is likely to be via a booking on Sundays between set times to be announced. Stay safe and happy skiing!
11.01.2022 Avoid river use due to accidental sewage discharge. Barwon Water has posted a notice near the Moorabool Street bridge advising of an accidental sewage discharge into the area and to avoid contact with water in the area until the sign is removed. It has also been noticed that the boat ramp and dock are currently underwater due to minor flooding. We will post more information if/when we are provided an update.... Season 2020/21 - Scrutineering and membership renewal The committee recently met (virtually) and are currently working through what season 2020/21 looks like and what COVID19 impacts will be. We are working with CCMA to ensure that the season is conducted within government guidelines with the intention to keep our club safe. This includes how we conduct scrutineering and membership renewals for the season in addition to advice for social distancing guidelines when using the river and surrounding areas. The CCMA river use season roster that outlines when we can utilise the rowing area and full river closures is currently being finalised by CCMA and the various river user groups. We will post this information to the webpage and Facebook once the final round of changes have been made and it is published. In the interim the standard roster unless otherwise signed applies. This is as follows: Monday to Sunday midday - Landy Field to Breakwater - 5 boat limit Sunday afternoon - Use of the rowing area up to the signage at the corner of the Barwon Valley park to Breakwater - 15 boat limit AGM With current COID19 restrictions the committee has made the decision to delay the AGM until early 2021 when hopefully we will be able to conduct an AGM in a COVID normal manner.
