25.01.2022 At the end of the day this joint will make or break your build. I use a traditional French dovetail and spend a lot of time ensuring it pulls up tight, seamless... and pitched at the correct angles. It's also self supporting and only a little glue is used to prevent it from being accidentally popped out. I've use a shim over the body this time so I can pitch the fretboard parallel to the top of the guitar. See more

09.01.2022 Fretwork. I'm putting a 35deg angle on the end of each fret with this jig to make the fretboard more comfortable to play. Patience.

07.01.2022 The soundboard is now braced and ready to fit to the sides. Pretty standard Martin X brace system.

06.01.2022 Back to an acoustic build. So much more demanding. This is my first cutaway. I thought I would have a crack at a Florentine. So far so good. Wish me luck.

06.01.2022 I spent a couple of hours fashioning this jig to route saddle slots in bridges. I then spent about 55 seconds routing the actual slot. I seem to spend way more time building tools to build guitars than I spend actually building guitars.

05.01.2022 Small side project helping Matty rebuild his telemaster. Fitted a new Walnut neck. New laminated American White Oak scratch plate. Routed and fitted a mini humb...ucker in the neck position. Inlaid GT stripes (makes it go faster). Refinished the body in retro nitro-cellulous. Sounds amazing See more
