18.01.2022 ****Last Minute Player Profile - The Wild Thing**** Name: Steven Bevan Nicknames: Bev, Chef, Bender Bevan, Wild Thing... Describe yourself in 3 words: white line fever Who would you like to clean bowl and/or hit for a six and why? It comfortably has to be Jake Burg. From all reports I’ve been hearing that he thinks he’s got my measure and he’s been throwing words around like Bevs my bunny boys, you wait til Saturday! Mate you wait, I am going to launch you into the next suburb and then come onto bowl and rip out your middle peg! What is your go to choice for a satisfying and delicious feed? An extra large bucket of hoyts popcorn and a large sprite is always my go too. How many Hard Seltzer's is a great amount of Hard Seltzers? Well there’s 24 in a carton so I think that’s a great amount! Unless you’ve got 2 cartons then 48 is perfect. What does the Rena's Thai Kitchen Cup mean to you? To me, the Rena's Thai Kitchen Cup is the pinnacle of my cricketing career. After a junior career with so much promise I quickly turned into a wash up and never got close to any potential I might have shown. The Rena's Thai Kitchen Cup is finally the chance I need to earn that glory so all of dads money spent on one on one coaching as a kid will finally be worth it! Pick for worst player of the series? Easily Alex Forster. He’s too focused on the beers so his mind is not on the contest! He’s consistently been the worst performer during all previous sporting series so there’s no reason why he won’t be again. What do you bring to your team? What I lack in the cricketing skill department I’ll make up for in sledging! Nothing is off limits for me so my main goal is to break down the opposition mentally until they do something rash and throw away their wicket. Also not afraid of fielding in close so if the skip needs me in under the lid at short leg or silly point I’ll be happy to jump in there. Any parting words for your team mates? It’s pretty clear that we have the better team both on the field and off the field, basically rocking up on time will essentially secure us the W! So let’s legitimately give these blokes a bathing and enjoy each other’s company while doing it! Xoxo Wild thing
