17.01.2022 What does birth photography involve? I dont like to be strangers so first up we will organise a time to meet up and discuss what you want captured, birth plan etc I come to the hospital around 5-6cm and capture each position change, any support given from other people. I can be at whatever end you want me to be at and capture anything specific you want memories of. ... I stay an hour post birth and capture the first feeds, cuddles, weight and footprints. When I told someone in the elevator on my way up I was taking photos of a birth, their face scrunched up like why. In theory, yes birth doesnt sound magical or beautiful. But what I have seen and hope to capture is the beauty of connection, the love, the anticipation, the strength and courage of women creating and bringing life into the world. ...
