25.01.2022 Procedure to be followed from December 5th for all Bowling Club Members & visitors to the Byford Bowling Club.......updates will be advised as they become available Covid 19 Contact Tracing............ Following the State Governments notice to re-commence Contact Tracing in Licensed venues, commencing December 5th, we will be required to comply with the Following procedures.... Pennant days: Team Managers: Record the names and phone numbers of all Bowlers, it would appear the easiest way to do this is to add the phone numbers to the Pennant team sheet. Have the visiting team provide the same information Copy both sheets and leave in the office for us to provide to BDCC. Visitors and Spectators: Sign in to the Register / book provided by the BDCC, available in the Bowling Club office. Casual use, roll-ups and Scroungers Members to use the Sign-in Kiosk at the BDCC reception OR complete the Sign in Register in the Bowling Club Office. It will be the responsibility of ALL Bowling Club Members to ensure we comply with these guidelines. Thanks for your understanding and assistance,

15.01.2022 I have an important update on WA's controlled interstate border since this morning. Unfortunately, South Australia today recorded three local cases of COVID-19,... after recording no community transmission for an extended period of time. When we announced the new controlled border regime, we said any new community cases in other states or territories would be assessed in detail by the WA Chief Health Officer, to determine if any possible changes to our border controls were necessary. The WA Chief Health Officer has consulted with SA Health and reviewed the details of the new community cases and the current situation in South Australia. As a result, based on the latest health advice the following changes to WA’s controlled interstate border will come into effect immediately: Anyone arriving from South Australia at Perth Airport will now be tested for COVID-19 on arrival (or within 24 hours of arrival at another COVID clinic) and given a Direction to self-quarantine for 14 days in a suitable premise; These arrivals will also be required to be tested for COVID-19 on Day 11; Anyone arriving via road from South Australia will be given a Direction to self-quarantine for 14 days in a suitable premise and required to take a COVID-19 test on Day 2 and on Day 11; Anyone who arrived from SA earlier today and yesterday, via road or air, will be contacted by WA officials and will be required to be tested for COVID-19 in the next 48 hours and self-quarantine for 14 days. These are initial steps the State Government is taking to protect all Western Australians, and will be reviewed regularly. We will monitor the position in South Australia very closely and will strengthen measures if required. We understand these changes will cause frustration for many people, but these steps are being taken on the best health advice to protect everyone. The State Government thanks all arrivals for their patience and understanding during this difficult period.
15.01.2022 A little humour to lighten the day Nearest Bowl One of the old stories that is still funny today supposedly happened in the Vale a few Years ago. A well known skip was having a hard time from the other three in his team who had failed to contribute anything throughout the game.... At the last end the third walked down to the mat to play his first bowl and pausing, shouted back up the rink. "Where's oor nearest bool?". "In yer ******* hand!", answered the skip.
