22.01.2022 LIONS 2020 CHAMPIONS Dragons' Strong Offense Falls Just Short To Lions Scorekeepers were kept busy today during a high-scoring contest between Lions and Dragons... where Dragons lost 10-8. Dragons fired up the offense in the first inning. Jacob Santich singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Lions pulled away for good with ten runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored two runs for Lions, Michael Albertini homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs, Taj Varga singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, Calvin Eissens's sac fly scored one run for Lions, and Patrick Temby singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Dragons tallied four runs in the second inning. Dragons scored their runs on an RBI double by Josh Lavender. Lucas John was the winning pitcher for Lions. John allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking zero. Joshua Dass and Eissens entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Eissens recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Lions. Aaron Callaghan was on the pitcher's mound for Dragons. Callaghan lasted two and a third innings, allowing seven hits and seven runs while striking out four and walking one. Tyson Noel, Riley Marsh, and Daniel Meloncelli each contributed in relief for Dragons. Flynn McGahan started the game for Lions. McGahan surrendered four runs on three hits over one inning, striking out two and walking zero Lavender led Dragons with three hits in three at bats. Lions racked up 13 hits in the game. 22.01.2022 State Champions 2021.pt1 This year the teeball state championship was held over the March long weekend in Perth. The Bushrangers had 4 teams participating in U9 / U10 / U11 / U13. ... All teams competed at a high level and displayed superior levels of skills and abilities and represented the Bushrangers with distinction. The U13 competed in the premiere division going through the championship undefeated and won the coveted Gold medals and championships shield. The U11 & U10 both finished in silver positions but due to extreme weather missed the opportunity to challenge for top place. The U9 played 4 amazing games and finished in 3rd spot. This is the clubs most successful campaign at the championship.
