24.01.2022 We would like to congratulate Darky Lawford for giving us 15 years of service. Without a team member like him we would be nothing! He started with us on our new journey when we relocated to Moama from Strathmerton and helped make the transition as smooth as possible, he has always been there for the Byford Team and Family. 23.01.2022 Meet Rory! Rory Potter has been part of our Byford Equipment Team since 2007! Starting as an apprentice he worked his way up through the production line moving from a Repairs Apprentice, to Factory Foreman and currently the Repairs Manager.... Away from work, before the restrictions, Rory loves spending his time outdoors. ‘One of the best parts about my position, before all of the restrictions, is being able to see so many different parts of Australia’ Rory Potter He is a bubbly person, always happy to help out even on his birthday! 23.01.2022 Happy Cow Appreciation Day! Being an Australian Tanker Manufacturer, our products are sold to, and we service the largest dairy manufactures throughout Australia and New Zealand. We thank all our farmers and encourage consumers to buy locally and continue to support them.... A little history The first Cow Appreciation Day was launched in 2004, in light of Chick-fil-A’s humorous Eat Mor Chikin marketing campaign, which began in 1995. The idea behind the campaign is that cows want people to eat more chicken instead of beef. While cows help produce extremely delicious byproducts, like milk, cheese, yogurt, and ice cream, we eat much more beef overall than those dairy options. Fun Facts Cows can live 25 years. You can guess the age of a cow that has horns by counting the number of rings on the horns. Before counting, make sure the horns belong to a cow. A cow produces around 200,000 glasses of milk in her lifetime. The record milk production for a single cow in a year is 35,500 Litre of milk. A cow can climb up the stairs, but cannot climb down. This is because her knees cannot bend properly. When galloping through boggy, soggy places or deep mud, cattle can run faster than horses. They have cloven hooves and their toes spread so their wide feet do not sink as deep as those of the solid-hoofed horse. 19.01.2022 World Suicide Prevention Day is recognised to raise awareness regarding the subject of suicide and the actions that can be taken to prevent these tragedies on a global scale.
