13.01.2022 Lowestoft Border with flowers Teapot Booths Silicon China England C. 1920 -1930 This 3 cup, Countess Shape Booths Teapot was donated to the collection by a Customer. This features a pattern called Lowestoft Border which was also made into a collection without the flower designs. The gold gliding is hand painted around the edge of the Lowestoft pattern, to highlight the Teapot. The Lowestoft pattern is made up of diamond shapes & in the centre of each one is a cross. The... pottery manufacture was created by Thomas Booth in the 1850s in Burslem England, then in 1868 was producing at the Church Bank Works in Tunstall England. Thomas Booths son Thomas Gimbert Booth continued the company on his own accord in 1876. By 1883 1887 Thomas G Booth partnered with his brother Frederick, the company was renamed T G & F Booth. However Frederick left the company in 1887 & Thomas G run the company once again. Approx. in 1898 the company was registered as a limited company & Thomas G was the acting managing director until 1904 when he became the chairman of the company before his passing in 1907. See more
