23.01.2022 my friends, prepare for the wedding spam Capturing this day was incredible. Due to the way the world is currently and the massive restrictions on travel, the wedding that @ruthysyron and her husband had planned originally, was put on hold. However, the day that Ruth planned and execution in its place, is something I will remember for the rest of my life! 20.01.2022 The stars really did align for this shoot. Morgyn was put in touch with me through my SIL (how good is word of mouth?!) and we messaged a few times and locked in a date to shoot. Morgyn is 40 weeks today so you know, time is ticking and it just so happened that I had a free evening shoot with her. 10.01.2022 my favourite thing about these family shoots isn’t getting to know you (I’m sorry, I love y’all.. but it isn’t) - it’s getting to know your children. Taking our time to figure one another out at the start of the shoot and seeing them slowly warm up to me... uh! I love it! I love watching them explore and explain things to me in a way that only a child can. I love when they feel comfortable enough around me to show me a cool dance move or a PJ Masks jump-kick-punch combo! ...As a mother myself, I know to never push a child into smiling for a photo or posing in a certain way..that’s just not how I work. It doesn’t work for me and therefore that’s not how I work. I want to see them being themselves. I want to see all the flying-kicks in the air that I can! I want to see all the pirouettes and ballet pliés that I possibly can capture. I love the sassy children, the quiet and reserved ones, I love the ones that don’t stop running around for 45 minutes and I love the kids that sit on the blanket and are too timid to play.
